Spring 2016 El Centro College/ NLC ADN

I know that it's VERY early right now to start gearing up for the Spring 2016 admission but I thought I'd start this post early seeing as I have already started taking my final classes, preparing to take the Hesi A2 test and submitting all my other documents for the program. If all goes well, I will be between 30 and 34 points. How many points do you think you'll be at when it's time to apply for the 2016 spring entry? What's the lowest score that they have accepted for previous entries? Are there any single mothers, such as I, who will be applying for the nursing program? Hope to hear more from others who are getting ready to join. Would love to get lots of feedback!!!!!

I think the minimum points just depends on how everyone else did. Like they'll take the top 60 for El Centro and the top 60 for NLC.

Cool! How many points did you apply with?

If my math is right I should be applying with 33 points. There are two classes I'm not sure about but if that is the case, I will be applying with 31.

Even with 31 points, your chance of getting accepted looks good!

That's how many points I have before I take my hesi. I took all the bridge courses, hprs and humanites course. I scheduled my hesi for September.

I was accepted to ECC Fall 2015 with 27 points. I recently had to give up my spot because of a surgery I just had to have and of course a financial reason since FA is all kinds of messed up so now I will have to wait to reapply Fall 2016 :(

That really sucks that their approval process takes so long. Or that they wouldn't be able to automatically give you a spot in the next semester. Don't lose determination, you'll make it!

I tried to talk with them about getting another spot for next semester since I have doctor notes and all. But no, she said she can not do that and I will have to reapply. The deadline for Spring is already passed so I have to wait til Fall :( In the meantime I will just take chemistry and tech writing.

So if anyone has any questions about the whole process, just ask! LOL

I have been to orientation and all!

Lbduke, yes I am going through the same thing with fin aid right now! For some reason they are keeping me in the verification process. Even tho everything is right. I call them and they keep saying it will take another 10 days to get awarded... Never ending cycle. But I don't have FA either this semester.

Happy Sep 1st. We're getting very close to getting our letters in the mail. I just hope this month goes by really fast as last month.

I applied for fall and just recently lost my spot. Class started yesterday :(
