Does anyone know if they have posted what general education classes are offered for Spring 2013? I know where to find the nursing classes through 2014, but I haven't been able to find a posting for Spring 2013. Maybe they haven't. If they haven't does anyone know when to expect this to be released? I just like to plan and since I only have Excellence and 3 gen eds to complete I'd to have an idea on what is ahead. Thanks!
This thread is specifically about Ohio University. To think that people here wondering about why they cannot register for classes are not aware of current events and problems that others are facing because they post to this thread is not a fair statement.
It is sad what is going on. And I am sure many of us are grateful to have electricity and power and our lives. And certainly our hearts, thoughts and sympathies and even our money, time, and care may have been provided. That does not mean we need to stop living our day to day lives. Complaining for the sake of complaining is irritating and I know there is a fair share on the virtual world OU school threads. However, I think most people are here because they want to help others in their chosen profession...not to be disrespectful to others adversity. However, there really is not a nexus between this specific thread and the hardships that unfolded during recent Storm Sandy. I still feel horrible about 9/11, I watched that unfold real time on my television. So, many students I went to school with were still in elementary school at the time and do not relate to a lot of it. I cannot go around telling the world to feel bad about something. You must direct your real felt sadness and emotions in an appropriate forum that will help with those current issues. This is not the place.
You really have no idea what any posters here have personally experienced in their own lives in the face of death, trauma, and tragedy. But, we don't share it on Spring Classes, Ohio University forum.
I believe the frustration comes out of not knowing. It is understandable that there may be issues with the change in classes and from Epic to blackboard. However as many of us are from out of state, we may not be aware how the recent events have affected Ohio university's online program. I would be satisfied with an updated note on the website to inform us that it is a system wide issue and they are working on it. Not an email several days later. I believe if an update would be posted, then it would eliminate their numerous phone calls and many of us would be more understanding and patient.
I can get on the student center, but when I hit enroll button nothing happens. Is there any other way to register?? My date to register was November 30th, but it is not working at all. I just want to get the classes I need so I can be done in April. :)
If anyone hears anything, please let me know. Thx!

Beautifully said...and if a person can't handle some online venting among students that have formed a connection through school then don't visit the forum.
I think I have figured out MY problem with registration. I was due to graduate in December 2012, but, had to drop my two classes during Fall session 2. I already applied for graduation and submitted my $50.00. So, likely SPRING 2013 is not showing up on MY page because the system thinks I am graduating this fall. Wish that were true, but, family emergency changed my plans.

At the risk of sounding like a jerk, I'm so glad this is an online class. Everyone spends their time complaining and if I had to listen to all of this outside of the virtual world I would probably lose it. So what if you can't register today or tomorrow?! Do you have electricity? And a roof over your heads? People in my area still are without power to keep warm due to the hurricane. I know people who have lost their homes and all their belongings down the jersey shore. its destruction and devastation around here and i come on this site and it is like a complaining ***** fest. Noone is making you attend this school. There are plenty more schools available I'm sure that will take your money. Get over yourselves and get your priorities straight.
