SPC Nursing students??All B student

So I am going to apply to SPC's RN program for the Jan 2010 semester. I have everything but my Micro/Lab finished. I know they look at your GPA from certain classes and I have all B's in those classes. If I get an A in my micro classes, do you think they will even consider me for enterance into the program? I know how picky they are! has anyone gotten into the program with a 3.1 GPA or anything? I am kind of putting all my eggs in this one basket! Thanks in advance!!!

I am pretty excited! I went out Friday night and had big dinner and some mojitos! :) *yummy* Now I am have a list of things to get done for them like the physical, drug screening, the CPR certification, 2 day orientation etc...lots to do but I'm not complaining ! :)

So i called this morning, and no answer! I left a voicemail message and hopefully she contacts me back today. I do not have any other number to call. Does anyone have an alternate number that I can call to get an update on my status!!?? This is killing me

Someone in my micro class wrote them an email and terri wrote back saying he didn't get in. She also said there was a letter in the mail...keep on trying

Ok thanks, i will do that. I'm thinking that i didnt get in because they would have contacted me by now. Ol well I can always try again next year

Ok so I finally got a reply back. I got chosen as an alernate! This is bitter sweet news for me at this point. Now I have to hope and pray that someone declines their acceptance, which i higly doubt!!:crying2:

Terecil- you are an alternate for SPC or EAYL?

I'm an alternate for the EAYL program. She stated in the email that if a slot becomes available for any reason, i would get a call.

I hope so! Aww this is sooo frustrating, but i guess an alternate is better than nothing. I just dont understand how this whole "alternate" thing works for the EAYL program. Hopefully the letter that she sent me explains it more in detail.

Congrats to everyone who made it in. I didn't get into EAYL and I was bummed for a little bit, BUT then I got SPC's acceptance packet in the mail...which was my first choice. YAY!!!

No I haven't got in yet I am waiting still he told me he had sent out more packets last week, so maybe more will get sent out after Largo Med picks.

Well at least you know you are definitely next on the list. If he sent out more packets it sounds like you have a good shot at it. Let me know!

They also sent out my schedule and it seems like I got my first pick..which is odd considering.
