Hey Everyone!

Thought I would be the first person to start a SPC Nursing Fall 2018 thread. Even though we still have one semester left before applying, I thought I would start a thread to get the ball rolling and to see where everyone stands. If are applying for the program in Fall of 2018, please let us know the amount of credits you will have at the time of applying and what your cumulative and program GPA's are. As for me, I will have 30 of 30 credits completed and a cumulative GPA of 3.9, with a program GPA of 4.0.

Oh, they have the flu shot for the new season already?

Yes, they said they got them in last week. Its so nice to see all of my "completes" on Castle Branch LOL!

I went to the location in St. Pete (Maximo area) but I would assume if they had it, all CVS would.

They were out of my size gloves (the box ones that are non sterile) . Does anyone that has them know what brand they are so I can buy the same kind somewhere else ?

Concerning the first day for Pryby people. From an email today.

" I would bring something to take notes and your laptop.

Class will begin on Monday at 1500-1700. We will be going over the syllabus briefly and some of the course.

When you have access to the course, please enter the course. The course will have the modules which can also be found under student resources today and PPT for the week. "

Was this just an email to you? I have Pryby (section 2333) and haven't received anything yet. I also don't have access to the course yet on MyCourses but in the workshops they said that would happen by Friday. Do you?

Yes I did mean that! I need to go back and reword that haha í ½í¸‚ . So class is only 3 hours? On Mondays and Thursdays? I would think it would be all day that's why I was confused! Thank you and I assume Friday when the course opens on Mycourses there will be more information.

Haha it's fine! Yeah I think the classes are only 3 hours on those days. I'm also hoping more information comes out tomorrow when the courses open. I know the gentleman who did our orientation said 1 pm on Monday for day students but I keep second guessing myself because I just think that's so late for a first day to start, especially for nursing lol! But it makes sense as that is what is on our schedule for Mondays anyway.

I had to order the Davis bundle online through the bookstore because they were also out of that one. I saw the fundamentals through the online book store but she said they had no idea when they would be getting it in and something about the publisher. So, yeah, I'm just gonna get it on Amazon.

I couldn't find either the Davis or Fundamentals package through Amazon at all, but I did go ahead and order all four of them individually from there. The actual Davis drug guide wont be here until Tuesday but at least the Fundamentals book & workbook will be here tomorrow because the first week's assigned readings that I received in my MyCourses email is from that book and I absolutely did not want to risk not having that by the first day. Thank gosh for free 2-day shipping hahaha.

Yes, I also received the email from Pryby, but the weird thing is that on my schedule and on my printed fees, she is not listed as my instructor for anything. I see that she included some of the other instructors in the closing of the email, so not sure exactly who my instructor will be. Guess we will find out tomorrow when the course opens.

I received the email and I do not have Pryby listed as my instructor for anything, so I don't think we can necessarily go by the my schedule or the print fees page. I think they are still trying to figure this out as far as who is instructing who. I guess we will find out tomorrow when the courses open.

Did you order the Drug guide and the handbook separately? I had to because I didn't see a package on Amazon. Do you remember what the original delivery date was supposed to be? My fundamentals books and the Davis handbook have already shipped but I wonder if I'll get an email about the drug guide. For now it still says it will be here on Tuesday. And I know I'm a little surprised the bookstore didn't have more in stock.

Hi everyone, when I got my textbooks I received an Elsevier Access Card. However, I read when my course opened up that I need to bring a SimChart Access Card and an Adaptive Quizzing Card? Does anyone know what books these were in? I still have not received the Davis package but I didn't think that they would be in those two. Thanks!
