Hey Everyone!
Thought I would be the first person to start a SPC Nursing Fall 2018 thread. Even though we still have one semester left before applying, I thought I would start a thread to get the ball rolling and to see where everyone stands. If are applying for the program in Fall of 2018, please let us know the amount of credits you will have at the time of applying and what your cumulative and program GPA's are. As for me, I will have 30 of 30 credits completed and a cumulative GPA of 3.9, with a program GPA of 4.0.
Yes, let us know what they say. I am confused at how all this will work.
Update-- Mine only has the same person for my lecture, lab and clinical. Sound weird but I will ask them about it when I go in to get some stuff signed next week. It also is showing that there are 12 seats in my sections so I don't understand how we will all be in the "night" program but have different teachers but have the same time stamp on everything regarding clinical, class and lab times?? Hopefully this will get cleared up at orientation!
Beware, LabCorp is a nightmare. Be sure and make an appointment before you go. Once I submitted by fingerprints, I checked the FDLE website and it shows that it has already been completed. I think the VECHS waiver that we turn in is so they can have our actual signature on file in accordance to the law for them to be able to run a fingerprint scan. I am really hoping for your sake that someone is not committing identity theft in your name. I would be on the phone with Castle Branch to find out exactly what that means. Sounds like someone with a different name and residence is using your SS#.
I have completed the fingerprint screening and submitted my background check but I haven't had time to do the drug screening yet. Going to do that tomorrow morning. My fingerprints still say incomplete for the last one, but that VECHS waiver they sent in the email that is to be turned it at orientation is what allows them to send the prints to the Florida Department of Law Enforcement for review, so maybe they have to wait for all that to approve them. Has anyone reviewed their background check results? Mine says no records found for Patriot act, criminal record, and healthcare fraud, but it also says for "residency history" and "social security alert" that "the only names and birth dates located are different than those belonging to the person submitted in this request". It's making it sound like I don't have a SS number or don't live in Pinellas county, but I have never had trouble with my SS and have lived in Pinellas my whole life LOL.

Uh oh! I didn't make an appointment because we have the 10 panel test and the alcohol swab and it wouldn't let me select both and I didn't want them to only let me do one or the other because the appointment was only made for one. Maybe I can call and make an appointment for both. And I will call Castlebranch tomorrow. I wanted to ask here to see if anyone got the same results because I didn't want to call and sound silly if it was normal but if yours doesn't say that then I assume something is wrong. They asked me to confirm my SS before they sent my background check in so maybe I accidentally typed the wrong number somewhere!
It is all urine based. You just pee into a cup and they test everything from there. I made an appointment for 10 am and didn't get seen until 11 am. You should be able to "view results" on he bottom of the Castle Branch To Do List where it says Background Check. It will have all the information on it, such as SS# and such. Maybe just verify everything is correct before calling and if it is correct, then I would definitely call them because something is wrong. We have to have the background check, fingerprinting, and drug testing done by Saturday, so you don't want to chance it. They update it every so often as things are completed on the background check.

Oh my haha! And the "view results" page is what I am looking at but it only gives me the last 4 of the SSN used, and those are correct, so I'm wondering if I somehow entered one of the first 5 digits incorrectly. It's the second and third pages from the report that are telling me that message that I posted previously. So your results just show that first overview page and then goes directly to the page with the big seal of certification? I wish their customer service was open right now because that makes me a little nervous!
I actually have 6 pages because I have lived in various cities and states and they have to check all of them. I would definitely call them first thing in the morning. I think they open at 8 am EST. Let us know what happens.

Will do! And I've made an appointment for LabCorp. Let's hope they don't make me wait an hour, I don't know if I could hold it that long hahaha! Though I better get used to it because I heard nurses don't always get frequent restroom breaks
I was about to pee my pants because I kept drinking water. I wanted to make sure I could go when they called me. LOL!

Hey guys!! i was an alternate and just got my acceptance email!!!! If anyone has advice on all this paperwork, I could def use it and would SO appreciate the help. This is all a little overwhelming lol
Congratulations!! Really all you have to worry about right now is the NOI survey and signing up for Castlebranch and getting your background, fingerprint, and drug screening done. The immunizations and titers can be done a little bit later, and some of the stuff towards the bottom of the Castlebranch to-do list won't be given out until the first week of classes. If you have any specific questions I might be able to help you out :)

Ok, I already did my NOI. I'm signed up for castle branch and have an appt on Thursday for my fingerprints. It says that the background check is in progress. I guess I'm good as far as that goes? Then I just need to make a lapcorp appt too. I think I'm getting the hang of it. I REALLY hope to get into nights :) I can't even believe this is real!!!

I first clicked on MySPC and then tuition and fees and that is where I saw the clinical instructor for my clinical site. Then, I clicked on My Schedule for August 13th and that is where I saw the lecture/lab instructor.
