Hey Everyone!
Thought I would be the first person to start a SPC Nursing Fall 2018 thread. Even though we still have one semester left before applying, I thought I would start a thread to get the ball rolling and to see where everyone stands. If are applying for the program in Fall of 2018, please let us know the amount of credits you will have at the time of applying and what your cumulative and program GPA's are. As for me, I will have 30 of 30 credits completed and a cumulative GPA of 3.9, with a program GPA of 4.0.
I'm not entirely sure. You may get notified later in the month as people start to deny their acceptance or fail to complete certain things such as the letter of intent and background check/drug screening.
It was in the bottom of the email. It shows you what number you are on the list and tells you that the number doesn't really matter(!) and that they will notify alternates on July 23 if a seat becomes available but they also said you could hear as little as one week before classes that you made it in, even if you didn't get notified by July 23. What I wonder is how do last minute alternates get the list done in time?
Mine was 3.73 with all courses already completed. I'm number 13 (Lucky number 13!!)We'll see what happens. I have faith I'll get kn and if not, Hello, Spring!!
There must be a TON of people with 3.6-3.7! You're number 13 with 67.3 points and I'm number 51 with 66 points (4.0 GPA and 26/30 credits). I'm sure I'll be applying again for January-next time they review me I'll have 70 points!

Idk if I believe number doesn't matter. Otherwise they prob wouldn't assign numbers and just pool us and randomly pick from that pool. But what do I know?, I'm not an admission advisor lol I'm sure there's a TON of people super close. The GPA was crazy high this time! You're totally getting in come Spring! Best of luck :)

thats awesome congrates!!! I made an appointment to go talk to them on monday because I have all of my courses completed and have a 3.75 GPA and have a much high alternate number... So i think there was a mistake made somewhere hahah I will be much happier with a top 13 alternate position!!

Are you a Pinellas co resident? They take them first. Idk if it makes a diff but I also have 2 other degrees from SPC and my husband is a veteran. That may be why I'm so high up. But again, I'm just assuming that.
I applied with a 3.6 GPA I didn't look to get in other than by extreme divine intervention I'm retaking one class that should jump my GPA up to a 3.88 and hopefully that will get me in Jan start class. I'd be curious how far down on the alternates that they went on GPAs ?
Are you an alternate? I wonder how many there are. I'm #51. I have a 4.0 GPA, but since I'm not finished with micro and lab, (only 26 of 30 credit hours) it's the equivalent of having a 3.6 GPA
My letter just stated basically that they regretted to inform me that I wasn't accepted and then went into the average GPA that they accepted and the points of students that were accepted. I have all of my classes completed.
Apply in spring for sure. This GPA was really high. If the average was 3.87, I can't imagine they accepted many (if any) below 3.8 for the Fall.
Anyone else stressing the selection sites and times? I just want to be able to pick the best option for myself. The times on the letter of intent show Tuesdays and Wednesdays 6-3 for days and then 1-11 for nights. However, on the actual registration page, it shows 7-3 for days and 3-11 for nights. I wonder which one is correct? I'm thinking the registration page, but not sure.
