SPC Nursing Fall 2018

Published

Hey Everyone!

Thought I would be the first person to start a SPC Nursing Fall 2018 thread. Even though we still have one semester left before applying, I thought I would start a thread to get the ball rolling and to see where everyone stands. If are applying for the program in Fall of 2018, please let us know the amount of credits you will have at the time of applying and what your cumulative and program GPA's are. As for me, I will have 30 of 30 credits completed and a cumulative GPA of 3.9, with a program GPA of 4.0.

Thank you! I sincerely apologize if I came off rude to you, I am really not a jerk. It is hard to gauge someone's tone on things like this and I am just a tad blunt. It's something I need to work on. Hang in there!

Don't give up hope. I am declining my spot and I'm sure others will as well. (I am currently in a program)

You never know! You might get in or you might be an alternate. Don't lose hope!

Thanks Rebecca! Today has been so looooong, I just can't wait to know one way or the other. Personally, it's a win win situation for me. If I don't start til January I get to take my last three AA classes in the 16wk fall semester rather than on a 10wk summer break, they'll still be covered by financial aid, and I'll have six months to ease into my first ever healthcare job (as a CNA) that I start next week-and save a little more money. Of course I'll be super stoked and make it work if I'm accepted!

Yes, I had to finish my AA this summer and it has been a little stressful. I'm also moving this November and I'm not looking forward to that. If I didn't get accepted this fall, I wouldn't be too bummed because spring isn't that far off and would give me a chance to get settled. So, if you don't end up getting in, it might be a blessing in disguise. I wish you the best in your new job!

I got in! Got my email at 4:00pm. Congrats everyone! Who's lpn to rn?

I got an alternate spot and I'm hoping I get lucky! Congrates to everyone who got in! I hope to see you guys at orientation!!! :)

I'm in the top 15 alternate! Hoping I can get in. Not really sure how often they call alternates, but fingers crossed!!

Congratulations everyone!! I hope everyone who got an alternate spot gets in!

How do you know what spot you had?

Does anyone know when the alternates will be notified or how that all works??

I'm not entirely sure. You may get notified later in the month as people start to deny their acceptance or fail to complete certain things such as the letter of intent and background check/drug screening.
