Hey Everyone!
Thought I would be the first person to start a SPC Nursing Fall 2018 thread. Even though we still have one semester left before applying, I thought I would start a thread to get the ball rolling and to see where everyone stands. If are applying for the program in Fall of 2018, please let us know the amount of credits you will have at the time of applying and what your cumulative and program GPA's are. As for me, I will have 30 of 30 credits completed and a cumulative GPA of 3.9, with a program GPA of 4.0.
Ah okay, got it. I'm sure that its for the EAYL people. I am curious to know why ST. Anthony's would be on there still because they are EAYL also and that choice is not open to regular SPC students, unless they changed something recently.
If you uncheck the "View Open Classes Only" option on the search page it'll show you every course, even closed/filled ones. It should be there.
I guess you misunderstood when I said I lack 4 credit hours. I am currently finishing up ( and acing with better than 100,just like I did A & P) my last prerequisites, Microbiology and Micro Lab as well as tutoring Microbiology and A & P at the LSC. I am on track to begin and be completely focused on the nursing program in august if I manage to get in, which totally depends on how many people applied with a 3.7 GPA or higher. Thank you for your concern.
I'm not trying to be mean or anything, but you probably will not get in this time. You MUST have 30 of 30 credits completed. There are too many applicants (544) for Fall Semester.
Just saw the "quote" button. I'm new to this forum. Just checking to see how it works. I'm not sure if my reply goes to the correct person otherwise
Just read through all these. It's getting pretty crazy in here. DeBurger seems to be throwing shade at Alexis. And I'm pretty sure you guys are getting ahead of yourself on signing up for classes. They told me you have to turn in a sheet numbering the hospitals from most preferred to least preferred and they give priority to those with a higher GPA. Same with picking day or night classes. So pretty sure they are the ones that sign you up for the rotations you don't sign yourself up

Right!? I just want to share positivity with everybody who has applied. We all have different paths and different individual situations. Personally I was also a little baffled by all the references to looking at classes and what not. I'm over here just waiting (impatiently) for the email that will tell me what to do next! Thanks for mentioning that, btw. :)
Someone please explain this earn as you learn program I'm not familiar with it and how do I get info on it
I went to an information session at St. Anthony's regarding this program. This is what I found out. You have to be employed (I believe as a PCT, not sure if non nursing department employees are eligible) for six months before you can sign up for EAYL, and you have to sign up for it before the start of your nursing program. So if you are not yet employed with BayCare or just got hired and plan on starting the program this fall or spring, it isn't a good fit. They basically told me thanks for coming but not to waste my time with the seminar

I get it, but you are not going to have time to complete those pre-req. classes in addition to the nursing classes, which are very demanding.
