Hey Everyone!
Thought I would be the first person to start a SPC Nursing Fall 2018 thread. Even though we still have one semester left before applying, I thought I would start a thread to get the ball rolling and to see where everyone stands. If are applying for the program in Fall of 2018, please let us know the amount of credits you will have at the time of applying and what your cumulative and program GPA's are. As for me, I will have 30 of 30 credits completed and a cumulative GPA of 3.9, with a program GPA of 4.0.
If Morton Plant is part of Baycare, then it is probably the EAYL students. I think they make-up 30 of the 90 people that get in.
I think they are but I'm not entirely sure. I was curious as to why/how one course could already be filled while we are all still here waiting to see if we got in!
I see only one class section closed for Morton Plan. There are other options still available for Morton Plant. I don't know why that particular one is closed. That is strange. I also don't know how this works? Like, do we register for classes like we normally do or do they do that for us?
I have no idea either. I also applied for Respiratory and their admission process just asks that students add the classes to their learning plan and then at orientation they will have them enroll. I'm not sure if Nursing is the same way or not but it's a guess! At least we will find out more info today regardless (thank goodness).
I just checked and I don't know where you are seeing this. There is one day program section for Morton Plant that has 2 seats filled and 10 open. Plus, St. Anthony's is on the list and there are zero seats taken there. I know for a fact that they are part of the EAYL program.
Does anybody know if the Morton Plant location for the day program is strictly for the Earn As You Learn program? On the registration page this is the only class that has already been closed with full enrollment while the rest are still open and I'm so confused.
I'm not trying to be mean or anything, but you probably will not get in this time. You MUST have 30 of 30 credits completed. There are too many applicants (544) for Fall Semester.
Hi! I just signed up for this membership-I applied on March 1st and today is supposed to be notification day! I'm on pins and needles! I only have 26 out of 30 prerequisite credits complete but have a 4.0 program and total GPA. With 66 points that puts me right on the cusp of getting accepted or not. I went to the seminar on June 4, and they showed stats for lowest GPA accepted the last five years-two of those five years I would have made it. Can't wait to see what happens. I realize I applied early just because I could so am totally okay with applying for spring if I don't make the cut this time. Good luck everyone!

That's strange, on mine it says all 12 seats are taken with 0 open. Weird lol.
I've talked with advisors and the academic chair. They said I have exactly as much chance of getting in as someone with all 30 credits and a 3.6 GPA. 66 points is 66 points and it doesn't matter how you got them. There is a very good chance that more than 90 people will apply with a 3.7 and all 30 credits, which would indeed put me out of the running, but if not, there is a chance. As I said, I know I applied early-when I started this path, I expected to be starting in Jan 2019, but doesn't hurt to try. It would actually be better for me in a lot of ways if I don't start until January, I just want to know one way or another so I can decide on my work availability for my two jobs. :) good luck to you!

Oh my god I'll just lose it if I have to wait another three days. They DID say they wouldn't make us wait until the 2nd at the seminar
