SPC Fall 2019

Published

Hey, everyone! I've been looking for a thread about fall applications for SPC Nursing program, but nothing yet! It may be early, since the application period just started on March 1st, but here we go! I applied as soon as it opened , and I'm crossing my fingers until the July 1st. Anyone else applied or planning to do it soon? Let me know your thoughts and plans, we are all together in this one ? .

There will not be a dosage quiz until like the 3rd or 4th week, until they are done explaining and reviewing that package. 25 questions and u gotta get at least 20 to pass. Pretty simple stuff, coming from somebody that hates math ?. I wouldnt worry

Thank you! They did tell this to us at the event on the 13th. But thank you for confirming for those who did not attend. ?

so guys I have a question? For the ATI access and the SimChart, do we have to buy these also?? or are those come in the package already? I'm confused...

You should buy ATI separate, it’s $253 at the bookstore and it’s a black and white card where you write your name and student number, they will explain in the bookstore; also, Simchart comes in Elsevier package and it’s activated easily just follow instructions posted by instructor

Does anyone have a picture of thier "Castillo" book. I bought everything from the store but I don't see any of them by castillo besides the workbook.

Did the link for the self enrollment for the elsevier not work for anyone else? It said I wasn’t authorized to view the link

I think they’re referring to the purple workbook, that’s also the only thing I got by Castillo :)

It doesn’t work for me either, I hope they will resend one today.

That’s the purple book, nothing else by Castillo so you are not missing anything ?

I went to school today, it was cool seeing students in their uniforms. The school served Einstein bagels to the new students around noon. They said they would do the same tomorrow for first years, they were giving out Titan logoed folders as well.

I love how you always get to be at the right pace at right time?, thanks for the info!

Hope everyone is having a better day than me! I went back and forth with several people today about my increase in book line of credit, ending with the guy that came to orientation from financial said. He was quite snarky and said he didn’t say the things he told me when I applied for an increase (I document what people tell me for a living- pretty sure I’m not making something up over textbooks, but I digress)...he says he can’t see if it’s increased or not so I have to go to the bookstore and see...ok, get off work at 1pm. Go home, let me dog out, head to school. Line of credit is increased (yay!) so I try to buy the last of what I need (the $500-something box of books)...guess what? They’re all out! Won’t have anymore until sometime next week, possibly Wednesday...I’ve been waiting for the school to increase my line but they never informed me that they apparently did on the 12th (this is where the financial aid guy says he never said they’re notify me- her sure did!). Had I known it was increased, I would have gone down earlier. So now I’m stuck without the majority of my books for class. Super excited. Going to email my professors when I get home and cross my fingers they will be lenient. Seems everyone I talked to today said something contradicting the other. How disappointing...anyways, the point of this rant is for anyone else waiting for increase of book line of credit or still Needing their box of books- Don’t waste your trip down there

Newbie, I'm a level 3 student who has an extra copy of fundamentals if you want to borrow it. It's going to be the main book you'll be studying from. If you would like to borrow it, I'm a night student who will be there tonight from 6:30 to 8:30 for my psych orientation. PM me and I'll give you my cell number.

Go borrow that fundamentals book, the instructors said that’s the main one for the first weeks or so! Good luck ?
