Nursing Students School Programs

Published

Hey, everyone! I've been looking for a thread about fall applications for SPC Nursing program, but nothing yet! It may be early, since the application period just started on March 1st, but here we go! I applied as soon as it opened , and I'm crossing my fingers until the July 1st. Anyone else applied or planning to do it soon? Let me know your thoughts and plans, we are all together in this one ? .

Hello Meredith,

I have applied to SPC Nursing program at the beginning of this month. I'm crossing my fingers as well that I get in but if I don't, I have another alternative career choice to pursue. That career choice is Histotechnologist. I just need to complete four more science classes by next Spring and then, apply for the Histotech program at Florida State College of Jacksonville.

Hi AlexFRN85,

Thank you for responding to my post. I'm excited for these few moths to pass by, and then we will finally know if we get accepted or not! Did you finish all your pre-reqs for nursing? I'm taking Micro and Stats, should be done in May. If everything goes as planned, I'll have my 4.0 GPA.

I think it's awesome that you have the second choice, it might make it easier in your head to wait for a while to get your acceptance letter for nursing ?. I wish I know how many people will apply for this Fall, not that it's going to make it easier, but just to have an idea, lol.

You are very welcome, Meredith. So am I. Yes, I did complete all of my pre-reqs as of last Fall semester. My overall GPA is 3.2. Hopefully, that will get by me to be accepted into the Nursing program. Which teacher are taking for Micro?

Eventually, they will roll in the Nursing program because there is tons of students applying for the program and very competitive.

Hi I also applied to SPCs nursing program. I can’t wait till July 1st! I am really hoping I get into SPCs program, as I was waitlisted for USFs BSN program with a 4.0 overall gpa. Fingers are crossed for all of us!

HI amandaxvx, you will definitely get in with the GPA 4.0. Everyone says the cut off is about 3.8-3.9, so we should be in for the fall. I'm also at 4.0. What would you prefer between the two? SPC or USF?

Hey AlexFRN85, I'm taking Dr Beckett for micro, he is amazing! He is making the course a breeze.

Honestly I love SPC for all of the support and the professors I’ve had the past two years. I think I would love SPCs program. I took all of the required classes for the USF BSN program so that I would have my BSN when I graduated in 2 years. I wanted to not have trouble finding a job in a hospital setting/have to worry about finishing coursework for the BSN online when I graduated. However I know I will end up with the same degree/RN license no matter where I go! I’ve been feeling so defeated since I was not offered a spot at USF so as of now I don’t have a preference between the two. I just want to be accepted somewhere! Congrats on having such a competitive gpa!! I know how hard you worked to get there.

Hi all!

I applied for the fall too. 30/30 and 3.9 program GPA.

Hi, everyone! I applied with 30/30 credits with a 4.0 so I'm crossing my fingers for all of us! I can't wait until we all find out if we got in.

Has anyone gone to the school to double/triple check that everything was turned in/submitted correctly? I’m pretty sure I’m all set, but I want to be absolutely sure.

Good luck to ALL of us! Great job to those with 4.0’s!!
