Getting BSN is definitely a great option, sorry you didn't get in, but I'm quite sure you will be just fine for fall at SPC ? We do work so hard to get to here, and it's just getting to be fun when we get into nursing!

July 1st seems so far away, but time flies ? If anyone has any news, questions, suggestion, etc, we can all advice each other in the meantime. Good luck to us all! I heard that orientation is July 31st, and it's mandatory for everyone accepted.

I am waiting for 1 more transcript to get posted and then I may go in and get everything double checked. I will let everyone know how it goes.

We just finished the semester (level One) and I followed these threads before Our acceptance emails arrived. FYI, the semester will go fast , the instructors are great , the clinical sites are on point. You be in a whirlwind the first few weeks , just take detailed notes and stay on task, be sure you submit your work just as the rubic specifies, the instructors will preach knowing the objectives for your tests and you should be fine if you do. there will be endless assignments or so it seems at times , just submit them all in a timely manner and definitely not late. You will read more than you ever have. There is plenty of extra help available if you need it. I hope that helps settle some of your anxiety , best wishes to everyone

Thank you soooo much for the heads up! It seems like a lot of work and reading, but I’m sure we can all try and get use to the fast pace ?. What do you advise as far as buying books, stethoscope,etc? Should we just buy what they offer in orientation, I’ve heard its the whole package deal, or look somewhere else for certain stuff?

I went to the college and spoke to John, he looked over my application and said everything has been submitted. He said he could not give me any dates (for orientation, etc) because they are subject to change.

Does he work in HEC, or he is a student advisor? I was thinking of doing the same, but I wasn’t sure if the advisor can actually give that kind of info. Thanks for letting us know!

John was at the HEC. I did not have an appt, so I waited for the first available advisor to talk to me.

I just got that email about the voluntary info session and due to work probably won’t be able to make it..does anyone know how important that is or would be willing to share a little of what they talk about? ?
