  1. Hope everyone is having a better day than me! I went back and forth with several people today about my increase in book line of credit, ending with the guy that came to orientation from financial said. He was quite snarky and said he didn’t say the things he told me when I applied for an increase (I document what people tell me for a living- pretty sure I’m not making something up over textbooks, but I digress)...he says he can’t see if it’s increased or not so I have to go to the bookstore and see...ok, get off work at 1pm. Go home, let me dog out, head to school. Line of credit is increased (yay!) so I try to buy the last of what I need (the $500-something box of books)...guess what? They’re all out! Won’t have anymore until sometime next week, possibly Wednesday...I’ve been waiting for the school to increase my line but they never informed me that they apparently did on the 12th (this is where the financial aid guy says he never said they’re notify me- her sure did!). Had I known it was increased, I would have gone down earlier. So now I’m stuck without the majority of my books for class. Super excited. Going to email my professors when I get home and cross my fingers they will be lenient. Seems everyone I talked to today said something contradicting the other. How disappointing...anyways, the point of this rant is for anyone else waiting for increase of book line of credit or still Needing their box of books- Don’t waste your trip down there
  2. Yea that is a bit misleading reference the shirts....I do remember her telling me the pants were but not the shirts. Not sure why I didn’t question that...still a good price though!
  3. For anyone still needing uniforms- Scrubs n stuff has ours on sale buy one piece get the next at 40% off! I bought 4 sets for $168.55...this is for the new style they just went to...they have SOME of the old style in store for 50% off...BUT they couldn’t say if the old style will still be accepted at the school (I’m betting it probably would be, but didnt want to take a chance. And the new style is softer and feels like it won’t be as hot as regular scrubs if you know what I mean)....btw, I went to the Tyrone store for the sale
  4. Yay glad others are going to the workshop so I won’t be there by myself. Is anyone that’s going in the LPN to RN transition program with me? If so, I’d love to meet up with you! Andrea
  5. Is anyone going to the Nursing success workshop on Tuesdays august 13th from 10am-12:15p?
  6. Where is the free nursing book table?!
  7. For those needing CPR certification, check with your local fire dept. they offer classes (sometimes free) and can get the healthcare provider ones needed. If the sept doesn’t have any upcoming classes, they usually have individuals that can do it for you by yourself.
  8. I got in!!! Im accepted into the LPN to RN transition program though, not the traditional one...is anyone else here accepted into the transition program?
