Hi!! Just wanted to start a thread for those that applied for Southwestern College's Fall 2015 ADN Program. I'm so nervous to wait for March/April for the notices to come out. I'm a hit or miss ranking at 75 points. I'm a CNA with my Bachelor's in Health Science emphasis in Public Health from SDSU as well. Anyone else applied as well? Nervous? Hopefully this discussion keeps going =)
Hi @thatperson, I don't think you need to do the PPD test if you already have the negative X-Ray. On the form, it says it can be PPD, OR chest xray, OR Quantiferon TB test. So if you have the Xray, I don't think you need to worry about any of the other options. Just attach proof and get a stamp from the clinic you had it done :)
@thatperson uh oh really? Yeah ----------------- cleared mine fairly quickly, maybe took 2-3 days. You should be able to have it finished this week! & emailed her all my transcripts & one filled out prereq evaluation for program enrollment form. Once she cleared it she faxed it back to me. Try to email her again!
I haven't turned my app in yet! I have to wait til Friday because that's when my second PPD will be read. So annoying LOL! I'll have to rush-deliver it too. Ugh.
@leighannquismo I turned in my apps! I just went to the pre req office and joni was there and she finished my form but forgot to fax it to me... it was like at the bottom of all her files she had to look for it lmao. But the lady at otay mesa checked each page to make sure i had everything! Goodluck to us!!! keep in touch!! hopefully we all get in!

@leighannquismo mine is weird. I got my chest x ray from another clinic and physical at Miramar College since i am a student. The clinic said they dont have the information regarding the skin test (manufacturer, lot, etc) since it was done in 2015. But they gave me a bunch of documents stating that it was a negative result for x ray. And I emailed Martha and she said they are fine. Do you think it will be weird if i get the stamp for TB from Miramar College since I am more familiar with them? The private clinic I went to seem to not care..
Yeah definitely look at palomar! They accept twice a year.
