Southwestern College ADN 2015

Hi!! Just wanted to start a thread for those that applied for Southwestern College's Fall 2015 ADN Program. I'm so nervous to wait for March/April for the notices to come out. I'm a hit or miss ranking at 75 points. I'm a CNA with my Bachelor's in Health Science emphasis in Public Health from SDSU as well. Anyone else applied as well? Nervous? Hopefully this discussion keeps going =)

brandy, I did not attend any meetings unfortunately. I've been having to do all my paperwork via fax & whatnot because I live all the way in northern Cali! Sigh lol

Well I heard from the Nursing Department that I have an alternate position. Sigh...im pretty bummed, but slightly hopeful at the same time. Hope I get in somehow. Does anyone know how many alternate slots there are...just a rough estimate would even be helpful. This whole alternate thing is not what I was hoping for.

Hello did you get accepted as a alternative? I received the same for Fall 2017 sent to me that same day the students accepted got their emails. I have orientation on April 28th with them, was the the case for you?

Hey all! Hope you're doing well. Anyone hear back from SWC yet? I was accepted & supposed to start the LVN-RN program this summer. But I don't think I'll be going through with it. I just got hired as an OB tech at a Kaiser hospital here in the Bay Area so I'm waiting to hear back from the local school I applied to up here. I may just accept my offer from SWC in the meantime & pay the fee if I have to withdraw. Right now I don't think it's a good idea to leave Kaiser since it's sooo hard to get in. Fingers crossed I get accepted to the school here. Then I can free up a space for someone else to get into SWC's step up program.
