Hey guys. Making this for those who are applying to SWC’s (Chula Vista, CA) ADN program for Fall 2020. Application period starts soon (November 4)! Write your questions to help each other out throughout the application period. If you want, post the amount of points you have in the point system.
Here’s the amount of points I have
Associates Degree - 5 points
CNA Certification - 25 points
Science Prereq GPA - 30 points (4.0 GPA)
”Fixed Set” GPA - 8 points (3.9 GPA)
Life Experience - 3 points
Language - 3 points (Spanish, documented proficiency)
TEAS test - 15-22 points ... I still need to take the TEAS. I want to give myself enough time!
So that puts me at 89-96/100 points.
Years of hard work into one packet... and now we wait.
Your scores are great! I got lost going to the office to submit my application. The blocked off Airway and my gps had me driving in circles forever. So yeah, that must've been super stressful!
I know! I was by SWC Otay Mesa today. Just make sure you take the 905 again and exit on La Media Rd... I’m sure that’s what you did eventually?
Last time Airway Rd was closed because of a flood (on the other side by La Media Rd) it had me take a U turn that didn’t exist/ was blocked off (I went straight South)... next thing you know I’m right next to the border telling US Customs how I got lost lol. Don’t listen to the GPS! lol

Lol! I also got lost and I saw my GPS was taking me in circles. Glad I’m not alone there. I went on Tuesday when they were closed for some activity and had to come back today.

You guys are cracking me up. LOL Yes, I also ran into the "Last US Exit" sign too. My GPS had me going in circles so I just pulled over and some nice people gave me directions. PHEW!!
I hope I get accepted. At least I'll know all the back streets to get to class. hahaha
Just curious... How far does everyone live from the Otay campus? I'm about 30+ minutes away but SWC is my first choice, so it'll be more than worth it!

LOL! I’ve done that a few times too. I live about 15 mins from the campus since I’m in the Chula Vista area.

Now we wait..... Hoping it won’t be as long a wait as last year! According to the allnurses page from last year they didn’t find out until late May-June. ? And I live 30 mins away in pb too.

I dropped mine off today too. I am only applying to MiraCosta and Southwestern, I missed City's deadline in Oct. Can't wait to hear back!
