Hey guys. Making this for those who are applying to SWC’s (Chula Vista, CA) ADN program for Fall 2020. Application period starts soon (November 4)! Write your questions to help each other out throughout the application period. If you want, post the amount of points you have in the point system.
Here’s the amount of points I have
Associates Degree - 5 points
CNA Certification - 25 points
Science Prereq GPA - 30 points (4.0 GPA)
”Fixed Set” GPA - 8 points (3.9 GPA)
Life Experience - 3 points
Language - 3 points (Spanish, documented proficiency)
TEAS test - 15-22 points ... I still need to take the TEAS. I want to give myself enough time!
So that puts me at 89-96/100 points.
Years of hard work into one packet... and now we wait.
Hello! I have a question for those who received the acceptance letter. Are we supposed to receive a link to join the orientation. I have not received an email from the school after the acceptance letter. I downloaded zoom on my ipad but I am not familiar with it; never used it before. Can someone please explain to me how it works. Thank you!

I have not received a link for the Zoom meeting yet. The email from (MODERATOR EDIT OF NAME) just said that she would send another email info about next steps.
Did you send an email accepting your spot? I did get an email back from (MODERATOR EDIT OF NAME) simply saying "Thank you." But that's all so far.
I had no idea there were groups like this, this whole time. I got accepted to the SWC program for Fall 2020. Congratulations to those who were accepted! I look forward to meeting you all on Friday ?
To those that are waitlisted or got rejected, please think positive and keep trying. I got rejected twice by National University, once by Grossmont. I also got accepted to the bright wood program and my very first day I was supposed to start, was the very day they shut down the school.
My point is, I’ve had many doors shut in my face but I just kept trying to find that key that opened the door! I got my GPA up and applied for my associates. ANY point is crucial.

It is super simple, once you sign up you pretty much just click the link they send and you're in the meeting.
Yes, I emailed (MODERATOR EDIT OF NAME) accepting the spot and just like what you have received from her reply was a simple thank you. The orientation meeting is coming near and I hope that we receive the link from her very soon.
