Published

Hey guys. Making this for those who are applying to SWC’s (Chula Vista, CA) ADN program for Fall 2020. Application period starts soon (November 4)! Write your questions to help each other out throughout the application period. If you want, post the amount of points you have in the point system.

Here’s the amount of points I have

Associates Degree - 5 points

CNA Certification - 25 points

Science Prereq GPA - 30 points (4.0 GPA)

”Fixed Set” GPA - 8 points (3.9 GPA)

Life Experience - 3 points

Language - 3 points (Spanish, documented proficiency)

TEAS test - 15-22 points ... I still need to take the TEAS. I want to give myself enough time!

So that puts me at 89-96/100 points.

Years of hard work into one packet... and now we wait.

Good luck to you all. You guys got this.

Hi everyone!

I talked to my friend who’s in the program and she said they are doing virtual clinicals online and they won’t be behind! So I believe that’s good news for our cohort ????

Hopefully we find out within the next couple weeks if we got in!

Amazing, thank you so much for the update!

Thanks for the info!

I have been checking my email frequently.

anyone heard anything? Any acceptance letters?

me too. even the notifications from allnurses got me all " please please please.... ? ?" ?

Checking daily! Nothing yet!!

Nothing here eitherrrrrrrrrrr. One week until May 1! Hopefully we hear first week in May!

I thought they said not to expect anything until May?

Yeah, the email said May.. last year they didn't hear until halfway through May based on what's posted on the allnurses board. So I was just telling myself it would be mid to late May so I can stop obsessing hahah

Based on what the email update and the website said, I wouldn’t expect anything this week or next week.

If I remember correctly, the last two cohorts were notified on a Friday... so I’ll predict May 8 (at earliest) or May 15... assuming they’re on point with the ETA for acceptances. I wouldn’t be mad if they pushed back the date (like to late May) for acceptances because the coronavirus slowed admissions down.

We’re close tho. Stay safe, guys.

It’s MAY! ??? Hopefully we will have answers within the next week or two! I can’t wait!
