Hey guys. Making this for those who are applying to SWC’s (Chula Vista, CA) ADN program for Fall 2020. Application period starts soon (November 4)! Write your questions to help each other out throughout the application period. If you want, post the amount of points you have in the point system.
Here’s the amount of points I have
Associates Degree - 5 points
CNA Certification - 25 points
Science Prereq GPA - 30 points (4.0 GPA)
”Fixed Set” GPA - 8 points (3.9 GPA)
Life Experience - 3 points
Language - 3 points (Spanish, documented proficiency)
TEAS test - 15-22 points ... I still need to take the TEAS. I want to give myself enough time!
So that puts me at 89-96/100 points.
Years of hard work into one packet... and now we wait.
Yeah, I’m like refreshing my email every 10 min... I gotta stop or this wait is gonna drive me crazy and feel like forever LOL
EDIT: IDK if LVNs have heard back for their dosage calculations... that usually comes first before acceptances go out. When that comes, I’ll probably refresh every minute?
Hey guys! The date for decisions is coming up soon!! I was wondering if anyone received an email about missing paperwork? I read last year’s cohort message board and they said they got a call to bring their paperwork in person, I’m wondering how it’ll work out this year if that’s the case. I’m just feeling a bit paranoid now, haha.

I haven’t received any email regarding missing paperwork, etc..
If you’re talking about how they’ll make us send missing documents because of COVID-19, I really don’t know. Mailing is probably an option, though... at least it was when we had to submit our application by the deadline.
I guess we’ll find out if they email us for paperwork.
I applied last year and was called about a missing lab result for one of the titers. I was asked to email Result ASAP.
I honestly thought it was a sign I got into the program but it gave my hopes up bc I later received a rejection letter. I thought it was absolutely ridiculous they made me send them a result if I was going to be rejected. I thought it was a waste of both my time and theirs.

Oh no, I'm sorry to hear that. Completely waste if time for you (unfortunately, is hard not to get your hopes up). Hopefully, this is our year! ?

I haven’t heard anything yet ? I’m trying to remain patient LOL. I was hopeful that we would find out this week but now that were mid way through the week I don’t know what to think. I just wanna know already! Who else is with me?! Anyone have any updates?
