Hey guys. Making this for those who are applying to SWC’s (Chula Vista, CA) ADN program for Fall 2020. Application period starts soon (November 4)! Write your questions to help each other out throughout the application period. If you want, post the amount of points you have in the point system.
Here’s the amount of points I have
Associates Degree - 5 points
CNA Certification - 25 points
Science Prereq GPA - 30 points (4.0 GPA)
”Fixed Set” GPA - 8 points (3.9 GPA)
Life Experience - 3 points
Language - 3 points (Spanish, documented proficiency)
TEAS test - 15-22 points ... I still need to take the TEAS. I want to give myself enough time!
So that puts me at 89-96/100 points.
Years of hard work into one packet... and now we wait.
I have a friend in the program who’s in her first year and she said that the lectures have been online but the clinicals are currently on hold. They are still trying to sort it all out so their class and the graduating class are able to earn clinical hours. We shall see! I will update you guys if I hear more from her ?

Looks like we got an OFFICIAL update by SWC, guys. It was sent by the Program Technician couple minutes ago (April 3rd, 2020, 1:41 pm)
Email said that they are still planning to have the Fall 2020 cohort, but decisions have been delayed until May 2020. Look out for follow-up emails for some other documents, etc

Hello, I also applied for the ADN program but I do not receive any email from swcc at all. Not a single one. It’s either my application is lost in file or they send updates to applicants randomly. I am now worried about my application.

Hi! Are you checking your swccd.edu email too? I think that's where all correspondences are going to. Or maybe check spam folder?
I'm guessing all updates would go to all applicants so maybe call/email them to verify they have your correct email address? Hope you get it all sorted out soon.

Hi! I always check my swccd email including the spam folder and nothing. I have called them numerous times and even left a voicemail but unfortunately noone has called back.

Good morning! I know. I can't stop thinking about it. Even had a dream last night that we all had to go into the office to hear the decisions.
