Hi everyone! I’m starting this thread so we can share our application criteria points with each other! I just turned in my application today. I have between 85 and 88 points. I have 3 B’s on my science prerequisites :((, 4.0 gpa for all the general Ed courses. I have fluency in Spanish, an associates degree, CNA, and volunteer experience. I scored an 88 on my TEAS! I hope they can look past my grades in my prerequisite courses and I get in!!! I hope we all get into this cohort! Good luck everyone

Aahhh, I was thinking wow these schedules are looking great. Lol so do you think first semester is harder than second semester?

I think it gets harder as you go. The Cinical skills are fairly easy you just keep practicing. It’s the critical thinking and the actual lecture material that is super difficult. Because it’s just A LOT of information.

Uuugh. I want to take those 3 SDSU classes towards BSN during the program and I'm trying to decide if I should start earlier in the program or later. ?

I would Start as soon as possible! Apparently in 2020 the institute of medicine is requiring nurses to have their BSN in order to be employed at hospitals.
But I have been told multiple things. Some say if you are working towards your BSN and have your ADN hospitals will hire u. But idk.
Sooner u start the sooner u get the degree. But the advice from current students may be more beneficial than mine ?

What about nursing homes? I guess I'll have to find employment there until I'm done with my bsn, if they allow Adn/rn to work there.
