Southwestern College ADN Fall 2017

Hi everyone! I thought I'd start a whole new topic for those who applied to Southwestern's Fall 2017 cohort. This is the first time I've applied for a nursing program, so I am very excited and nervous of whats to come. I'm curious to see the amount of points you have totaled so I know what I'm up against. I totaled my points to be 74/75, so that may be low compared to some of you. I wish everyone luck and I hope to see you in August!

Congratulations on your acceptance maryboberry! I'm so excited to meet you all at orientation. We get to give our preference if we want day or night classes. I prefer day. What about you all? Also, we have to make a study group if possible :)

I also prefer days! Someone should create facebook page already! Do you guys know how many days we go to school including clinicals per week?

Is that day or night classes only for clinicals or is that for all lecture/lab/clinical days? For me personally, I would pick the day classes

And yes, a Facebook group page would help organize study groups so we can get together :) I'm down for that!

My friend started the program last fall and for the first semester she had 2 days of class and 1 day of clinical. She's in her second semester and said we're going to really like the program!

Spent toward the program costs? I'm not sure.

i bought my stethoscope for 125$...my bank is hurting.

@thatperson $125?? There are really good ones for a way cheaper, like Littmann has had really good reviews and it's a fraction of the cost of what you paid:

yeah!! I didn't get the lightweight one lol. I bought it from a website allheart. But I can return it though. I didn't really look hard enough for one so I guess I should also check out amazon

Has anyone who emailed an acceptance to the program receive a response from SWC?

I emailed them again and the lady said that "You do not normally receive a response back. But your acceptance has been confirmed."
