Southwestern College ADN Fall 2017

Published

Hi everyone! I thought I'd start a whole new topic for those who applied to Southwestern's Fall 2017 cohort. This is the first time I've applied for a nursing program, so I am very excited and nervous of whats to come. I'm curious to see the amount of points you have totaled so I know what I'm up against. I totaled my points to be 74/75, so that may be low compared to some of you. I wish everyone luck and I hope to see you in August!

omg finally!!! you really wanted it so you completely deserve it! see you all at orientation!

i had to pay for my dog to have surgery so i held off on my phone bill bad idea apparently they where trying to call me since your friends got theirs idk did they get a phone call? They verbally offered me it lol but i'm so happy because this is a good group of students to be in! I know several ppl who are hard studying students as do you so we will make it through the next two years!

I think they got an email! yes right!!

Hi,

When did you call the nursing office? I had around 75 points and I have not heard anything from them. I called and asked about the application and they just told me that they were still working on notifying people. What did you ask them when you called?

You guys i got accepted today i called to see where i was at on the list since i heard last monday some people got in and it was bothering me not knowing so naturally i emailed. Then was told my phone number isn't working lol and to give them a call. Turns out they offered me a seat on the spot emailed me my invite and i had till 5pm today to respond and of course i took it! This is my first choice and literally my only choice at rn school and i was accepted and i now feel the excitement that you all have felt and i look forward to seeing you at orientation!

Yay!

It just so happened that I was next on the list and they called me and the number failed, I got an email regarding this and they told me I was in. The invites for alternates have been going out now for 2 weeks so hold on everyone it's coming!

So excited to meet y'all!!

@DanielleRNstudent that's awesome news! So happy for you!

When I got my acceptance letter mid march last year, we had 24 hours to reply via email.

Well I was offered a spot and had less than 3 hours to respond lol

Hello :) congrats on your acceptance! As a current RN student at SWC I would advice on taking this summer course. It really helps you throughout your first year of nursing school and the professor is amazing :)

when will we be able to register for the summer course are you referring to the dosage calculation test?

I got accepted into Miracosta college I just saw my acceptance letter. But for now still going for Southwestern since all of my friends who were alternate got accepted already at Southwestern.

I'd pick Mira Costa if I were you! I believe it's the hardest to get into because they only accept 20 students, their past cohorts on average have 85-89 points.

I got into grossmont! anyone else did?
