Southwestern College ADN Fall 2017

Published

Hi everyone! I thought I'd start a whole new topic for those who applied to Southwestern's Fall 2017 cohort. This is the first time I've applied for a nursing program, so I am very excited and nervous of whats to come. I'm curious to see the amount of points you have totaled so I know what I'm up against. I totaled my points to be 74/75, so that may be low compared to some of you. I wish everyone luck and I hope to see you in August!

@DanielleRNstudent did you get accepted? I remember you saying that you were an alternate. When did they send out the acceptence letter for alternates? My friend is an alternate with 72 points. Hopefully you did.

Hello, nothing yet I have 73 points.

I think they are going to wait until the spring break is over because the due date was March 28th to email them the response. This is why I believe we haven't heard yet they will most likely count those who confirmed go down the list then email us. Perhaps no one declined until after orientation due to not hearing back from grossmont/Palomar etc.

Let me know when your friend finds out. Good luck everyone.

Hello. My mistake my friend said she had 73-74 points and she received an email today at 9:12 am saying she is accepted. Goodluck!

Was she an alternate? Wow on spring break that's awesome! So I shouldn't be far on the list right?

Yes she was an alternate. She doesn't know if the 73-74 was for sure her points.but it should be around there. I also talked to a few people who I went to CNA school with that applied that got in and they believe they had 72-74 points, and one girl got in and she believes she only has 70 points. they said the points they think they have is probably not the points they actually have. Unless its just straight up GPA TEAS degree and CNA. but the life experiences are subjective.

Hi Ednies,

I will be going to SW as well and was wondering if you could send me the syllabus too.

Sorry sweetgem, unfortunately I didn't save my syllabus from last semester. I'm sure I have it printed out somewhere in my room but I would have to go through all my books, binders, folders, and notes. If I get the chance to go through my stuff and find it I'll scan it and forward it. Sorry.

@bobayla did you get accepted to the cross enrollment program for SDSU?

Hi everyone,

*I think* I got 74 points. Does anyone know if they round up TEAS scores? I know Grossmont doesn't. I got an 84.7%. If so then I'd really have *81* points. Well I got my acceptance letter so I look forward to meeting you all at orientation!
