If I remember correctly, their NP program was only available on campus not too long ago. How long has the online NP been established? Has anyone here on allnurses.com attended and graduated from the online program? If so, how was your overall experience?
Here's the link to the program webpage:

Would live to hear all of you guys thoughts! I searched allnurses for more info but it yielded no profitable results. Thanks!
lhflanurse,
I was in the program last year and had to quit due to some unforeseen events in my life. I started NSG6002 but left in the first week. I want to get back in Jan 2014 and complete the program before the mandated DNP takes affect in 2015. I wanted to ask you a few questions about the program. Any help will be much appreciated. Thanks. I also sent you a request. (I am new to the site as of a few minutes ago)
adventure 780, check out this link: http://www.nursingworld.org/DNPFAQ
I believe so. Even if they do decide down the line to make it mandatory for a DNP, the MSN-NP will be grandfathered in. Currently, there is no difference in the scope of practice between a MSN-NP and DNP-NP other than individual states autonomy. I look at it as why should I spend another 11/2 to 2 years of school and triple my investment for no improvement.
Hello fellow SU students. Just throwing out an olive branch to all of you. We should create a FB page to share. Just got started in the first term Dec 23, 2013. Navigating it ok. Lots and lots of busy work - sort of mind numbing. Pretty well shot the holiday season because there were 4 assignments due by January 4. Therefore, I do not recommend starting at this time of the year no matter what those advisors tell you. Would love to get a book list for the remaining courses. Feel free to contact me at allicat130 at gmail dot com.

December is my start date. If there is anyone who wants to open this conversation up, please do!
