So did anyone or is anyone currently in the FNP or Adult NP online program at this time? I spoke to an admissions rep and was really impressed. The set up is nice with one course at a time, although was told you can talk to your advisor and sometimes layer your courses here and there as well (like an 11wk course with one 5.5 wk course) which I'd prefer to do to get done faster...since I did my ASN at Excelsior and am finishing my BSN I'm well used to online format courses and have my time down to a science. I was planning on beginning my application process now, so that in December we submit everything with the potential to start the first week of Feb 2014...anyone else??? Any thoughts???
Mostly good reviews...It is a GA school with medicine, pharmacy and nursing program...I believe the online nursing is new....It is definitely cheaper compared to Simmons and Georgetown....
The is a blog regarding it on this website...You can read what current students have to say...
Um, no. South University is a for profit school. There are no for profit medical or pharmacy schools because they know for profits tend to ruin professional image. I think you looked up the wrong school. There is no Souh University medical school.
Also it's cheaper than Simmons and Georgetown because you get what you pay for...

I meant to say physician assistant. But they also have a pharmacy school.
In regards to being cheaper, everyone will have a different experience. Not all schools have the hybrid program where lectures are conducted via video camera online. Some just like South University lay more emphasis on the student doing mostly self and group study.
Hello there. I am currently sending in my admissions packet to see if I am accepted into South University's online FNP program. I have read every single post on the discussion and I am concerned now about the for profit aspect of SU and the high drop out rate. Can anyone who is currently enrolled in this school or have graduated from here personally message me? I would like to find out more about the program from a student than from my admissions rep. Thank you!

If you want the name of my admission Counselor I can give it to you..that is if you have not been contacted.
Part of the requirements is finding potential clinical sites. All you need to do is visit the clinical sites ...and request for contact information for the person in charge of accepting applicants.
I'm to start in Nov...I chose that to allow me time to get organized.
