What song do you listen to before an exam to get you into the mental state??
What song do you listen to after an exam??
What song keeps you mentally sane??
:lol_hitti

DMX -
Yall gone make me lose my mind
up in here, up in here,
Yall gone make me go all out
Yall gone make me act a fool
Yall gone make me lose my cool

For my sanity:
"Second Wind" by Billy Joel
"I'm Still Standing" by Elton John
and of course
"I Will Survive" by Gloria Gaynor.

" Saint Elmo's Fire" by David Foster is what I call a "power song". reminds me of Canadian Rick Hanson who wheelchaired around the world (literally, as in traveled to many countries and figuratively, as he rolled the circumference of the world) for spinal cord injuries. Great inspiration.
My reminder the world is still an OK place? Louis Armstrong "What a Wonderful World" I went out and bought it on "9/ 11".

For all of the above questions, I answer Tegan & Sara. My pre-exam song is "Living Room" it is a nice bubbly, energetic, sing along song. My post-exam song is "Speak Slow". They are an up and coming pair of sisters from Canada.

Good choices, Flea! I love, love, love Tegan and Sara! In all honesty, I listen to them on the way to/from school whether it's an exam day or not!
The site of Josh Groban inspires me.

Rocky Mountain High. It helps to put me in a good place where I can clear my head.
Speaking of, "Country Roads" inspires me for the long car trip when i visit back home. Also inspired me to kick back and relax occaisionally.

I have a new favorite in this department..
Kelly Clarkson's Breakaway
"I'll spread my wings and I'll learn how to fly
I'll do what it takes 'til I touch the sky
And I'll make a wish, take a chance, make a change
And breakaway
Out of the darkness and into the Sun
But I won't forget all the ones that I love
I'll take a risk, take a chance, make a change
And breakaway "

"Breakaway" has inspired me too! That and Gwen Stefani's song, "What You Waiting For" both gave me the guts to change career directions and go back to school this semester. :)

Lyrics from "What You Waiting For":
Naturally i'm worried if i do it alone
Who really cares 'cause it's your life
You never know, it could be great
Take a chance 'cause you might grow
Oh... oh ohhh
What you waiting
What you waiting for!?
Tick tock
Take a chance you stupid Ho
Like a new cut pattern, you're repeating yourself
You know it all by heart
Why are you standing in one place?
I wouldn't call myself a "Ho" like Gwen does (LOL), but otherwise, the lyrics gave me the kick in the butt I needed to follow my dream! :chuckle
