Something very funny is going on at my school today...It is almost noon, and so far I have seen...
...THREE KIDS!
One tooth pain, one blistered hand, and one nausea-'cause-I-ate-too-much.
That is it.
Very scary, I am just waiting for the onslaught right about the time I go to lunch, that is usually how it goes!

lol ! praiser , i barely recognized your post with out all your purple.
anyway, purple scrubs count your blessings... i'm so glad you are having a slow day. yesterday, 10 % of the students at my school came to the hr . today its been steady but slower then yesterday.
Well, I just knew I spoke too soon! Not 30 minutes after I posted this I got a scalp lac, thankfully it was just one of those little punctures that bleeds a ton! Mom came and whisked him to the MD just to be safe, and all is quiet again. That is what I get for talking about it being slow, LOL!
never....never....say the q word ! hehe :loveya:

I thought about the "q word" thing too! Even with the scalp lac, I am only at 10 kids for the day with only 30 min. left, so still way under my normal.
I do have a pretty "easy" school, only inhalers and one neb, plus some po meds. I have been getting info about next year, and I am pretty excited, as I think I am in for a more challenging year. I am getting a newly diagnosed type I DM student, a kid with down's who gets neb treatments regularly, and one of my current students just found out she will need to be cathed every 3 hours (mom is electing to start this next year since we only have 2 weeks left). Oh, and a PK kid with an epi pen for severe insect allergies.
It sounds crazy, but I am excited! I have been a little bored and am up for the challenge. Woo-hoo!

I got a new type 1 DM this year and he sure keeps me on my toes. Have fun next school year. :wink2:

Teacher sent a kid to me the other day with a stomachache. The kid told me she had a stomachache while holding a sandwich she was eating.

Absolutely love those days :)
Only times I get those days are "Fun Days" aka Last Day of School when no one wants to leave :)
