I'm going to make a long story short. I really didn't know what I wanted to be when I graduated high school and I didn't take school seriously then. I went to a local community college right after high school and had to take developmental courses that I didn't do well in because I didn't realize how important school was. I received some credits from another college in the area and my GPA is a 3.7. I applied to a nursing school here and got accepted but now they're wanting my transcript from the college I didn't do well at. My question to you all is will my developmental courses GPA affect my 3.7 GPA?

Having sent my four kids through community college before their university studies- developmental courses do NOT figure into the GPA. If you're already accepted, the asking for the CC transcript is just a formality.

If you think about it ... you don't really need help. You just need to do what you need to do. There is nothing you can do to change your past. Your new school has asked for your transcripts. Period. You have no choice but to send them. You can't change them. So send them and see what happens next.
If you have already been accepted, it probably will not change anything. But even if it does, there is nothing you can do about that but ask the school if there is some way to maintain or re-gain your acceptance. So ... just take a deep breath and send those transcripts.

This.
I had a stint where I went to a university for the "college experience" (aka party and BS). My nursing school felt those grades weren't transferrable; with the exception of ONE class. I was a great candidate for their program, hence they accepted me anyway-nothing to worry about.

If I am interpreting the term correctly, "developmental" courses are remedial - required prerequisites for college level courses. If so, they are non-credit, and do not have any effect upon your college GPA.
Thanks! I'm most definitely going to send them. I have no other choice. I just a didn't know if those courses would affect my college GPA.

Developmental courses are not college-level courses. They are meant to prepare you for college-level courses. They are not counted for college GPA.
