Know that not all exams are the same....I had maybe three(complex IMHO) pharm questions on my exam. The NCLEX is a combination of content knowledge an critical thinking/practical applied knowledge skills. The critical thinking/applied knowledge assists in determining what is not just the factually correct answer but also the best answer to the question. Good luck.

Well, you just gave great advice for your FRIEND to retake the exam, but it's not really applicable to those who still need to test.
The NCLEX has a bank of thousands and thousands of questions; once it ascertains you are weak in ANY area, you will receive more questions in that area until it "knows" you are in the passing range. Areas of knowledge you know very well you won't see much, because you will have answered them correctly the first time(s) you see them. Things you don't know much about will come back time and time again.
So, you see, it's not that anyone needs to study any more in-depth what YOUR friend had problems with. They need to study it all, of course, and concentrate on areas in which THEY are weak.
Best of luck to everyone.
