Solano RN program

Published

I am wondering if anyone is on the waitlist, or currently enrolled in the solano nursing program in fairfield? i have been on the waitlist about 6 months and i am just curious how long people have waited, and if you are in the program, how is it? thanks so much!

Hi JH289,

I have applied at ARC and Sac City, I got my 3rd denial from ARC yesterday, and still waiting to hear from Sac City. Samuell Merritt is too far away for me to go to. I will apply to some more for the fall semsester as well. It takes patience and time I guess. Good luck and please post if you hear anything from those colleges.

POLLOCKGIRL-

I got denied from ARC too. I believe it is also my third or fourth denial from them. That lottery is difficult. I will keep you updated. Keep me posted!

Solano will take any version of the TEAS test and will also take the HESI with not date restrictions. They only have one class each year (fall). Why is it so hard in Cali? In Texas you get right in, man good luck to all.

I spoke to the someone in the Health Occupations Dept at Solano, they will accept TEAS 4 if you get in by August 2011. But, if you get in after that they will require TEAS 5.

Hey everyone!

It's been a while, I just wanted to say "Hi" and update. Do you all worry that the longer we wait on this list the more important information we're forgetting? I do! and I have the composite score now to prove it! :) I got a letter last month saying I was invited to take the TEAS 5, and saying how everyone not getting in this year will be required to take it even if they passed the TEAS 4, etc....and I passed, (yeay) and it wasn't as hard as I've read online, I'm not suggesting that it was easy(my score was nothing to brag about), but It really wasn't sooo bad...which means everyone will pass and all those numbers below me aren't going anywhere....sigh

Hi

Yes, I worry about all the stuff I have forgotten- but I'm hoping its stored somewhere in my brain. Its so stressful not knowing when I will get it. I was 99 this time around and it doesn't look like I will make it in 2011- bummer! But, its better than some of the lotteries I have been it- at least with the waitlist it will happen for sure.

I took the TEAS 5 at Napa, I thought it was fair. A lot of the chemistry stuff was hard to remember, but I studied a lot and passed.

I am still taking classes, I have vowed to keep going to school until I get in to an RN program so I don't get out of the swing of things. But, I am running out of classes to take at this point.

:yeah: good job on passing your TEAS- isn't it such a relief!?

Thanks :) Yes it is SUCH a relief! I had planned to do major studying, then had all kinds of family issues that prevented it, so I really didn't know if my 'essential skills' would be up to par...very grateful!

I was on the list 2 1/2 years before I started in August of 2011. The normal wait I think is 2- 3 years. Since this is an old post, hopefully you've already started! :)

I wish! I should get in this August, which will make it exactly a 3 year wait for me :)
