I wish! I should get in this August, which will make it exactly a 3 year wait for me :)

I just got my new wait list letter for Solano...
From app to getting in next year will be 3 years! Good luck, apply to multiple, I only applied here as I didn't want to commute, but if I had it to do over again, I would have applied to Napa too :)

Thanks Gina, I just emailed you, and cbaum9, I remembered there was someone really close to me here, just one number farther than me infact! Based on what I was told yesterday it sounds pretty definite we'll both make the cut, 15-20 sometimes even more alternates are chosen each year!! :)

Thank you so much for your kind reply! I did get a call back early this morning, and talked to a wonderful woman at the school who explained that 3 people on the list below me can't start in the fall as sadly they failed teas v and must remediate...man! I would love to email you and pick your brain a bit, maybe I can take you for a coffee or jumba juice :)

I just got my new wait list letter for Solano...
Hi everyone! Here is my dilemma; I called Solano last Thursday, and spoke to someone in the Nursing Dept. who was kind enough to look up my new wait list # since it was the 6th and the letters still had not went out yet, and my number was 48!! Which at first I was thinking it was still too high, until she said "That's great, we take 48 a year." Fast forward one week later, today, I get my letter and the number says 51!!! So I've been calling all day, they're in a meeting which has taken over 3 hours, now they are gone...I am trying not to be devastated, and praying that 3 people had dropped off after the letters were printed on the 1rst, and so the number she verbally told me is actually my number....any thoughts? I've been waiting so many years

Thanks :) Yes it is SUCH a relief! I had planned to do major studying, then had all kinds of family issues that prevented it, so I really didn't know if my 'essential skills' would be up to par...very grateful!

Hey everyone! It's been a while, I just wanted to say "Hi" and update. Do you all worry that the longer we wait on this list the more important information we're forgetting? I do! and I have the composite score now to prove it! :) I got a letter last month saying I was invited to take the TEAS 5, and saying how everyone not getting in this year will be required to take it even if they passed the TEAS 4, etc....and I passed, (yeay) and it wasn't as hard as I've read online, I'm not suggesting that it was easy(my score was nothing to brag about), but It really wasn't sooo bad...which means everyone will pass and all those numbers below me aren't going anywhere....sigh

Well congrats to you too! Yours went down sooo much, over 200 is so encouraging to all those in the 400's now...hey we may end up in the same class too. I called about Teas yesterday, Health dept woman(very nice) said she just sent out 60 invite letters, and I was still too high on the list to be one of them, probably I can take it in March she said, I guess I could go take it somewhere and pay a fee, but I think I'll just wait my turn here :)

Solano RN program
Just last year, August 2009, it took me June 08 until then to cram in all those prereqs (summer with Micro and Physio was the least fun summer ever!) It's surprising how many people either dropped off, or I guess got into another program, maybe Napa...I have kids too so can't commute, so I vowed to stay here in Fairfield however long it takes

Hello everyone :) Hey I should be in your class maybe sneagle25! Last Oct I was just on at 347, and now I got my letter yesterday that I went all the way down to 149!!! I was really hoping to just be under 200, so was totally shocked when I got my letter. I am very excited to finally be making so headway, and also trying to guess as to when that means I'll get in...I'm thinking Jan 2011...It seems like there should be almost no one dropping out once you get so far up the list (future me) Hey does anyway know when I would take the TEAS?
