I am wondering if anyone is on the waitlist, or currently enrolled in the solano nursing program in fairfield? i have been on the waitlist about 6 months and i am just curious how long people have waited, and if you are in the program, how is it? thanks so much!
Congrats on the low waitlist number. I applied in November 2009 and was #403, now I am #186. I was thinking that I should be in by fall 2011. I have read that you must complete you teas immediatly, if they get to your number and you do not have it done - than they drop you completly and you have to reapply - I think I read that on their website or on a letter from them. Good luck everybody! Please update as you get closer.
Well congrats to you too! Yours went down sooo much, over 200 is so encouraging to all those in the 400's now...hey we may end up in the same class too. I called about Teas yesterday, Health dept woman(very nice) said she just sent out 60 invite letters, and I was still too high on the list to be one of them, probably I can take it in March she said, I guess I could go take it somewhere and pay a fee, but I think I'll just wait my turn here :)
Yes, I was surprised too that it went down so much in 10 months. Did they say if they offer the TEAS or if we have to take it somewhere else - like Samuell Merrit or Sac State? In Sacramento the JC's offer it for free for whoever is enrolled in the upcomming semester so you dont need to take it elsewhere - and save the $$$. When I first applied they were taking new students in the spring and fall semester, are they still doing that or has it gone to once a year?
Pollockgirl, that's great you're moving up so much! And I emailed Solano and they said they're only taking applicants once/yr.
I wasn't expecting a letter since I just received my number in Sept (#486) but I got a letter with a new wait list number - #331! Still should be a 2 year wait from now, but I'm thrilled I moved up so much already.
I've taken the TEAS test already, since I needed it to apply for another school. So that's one less thing I'll have to worry about!
I am in the same boat. I applied for the Solano RN program in August of 2009. My original wait list # was 356. I just recently received my letter in the mail with my new wait list # of 150. I was shocked at how much my number went down. I am hoping for admission into the Fall 2011 program, but with them only accepting new students once a year now, Fall 2011 might be a little out of reach. We will see. I just had a quick question for any of you who have already taken the TEAS exam. I was looking online to try to register and take it on my own, but I found that there are two different versions of the exam, TEAS 4.0 and TEAS V. Does anyone know which version of the exam Solano College requires?
Hi cbaum, you're getting really close to getting in! That's wonderful. I know they'll send you info on the TEAS right before your entrance date. I'm assuming they'll take both versions of the test. I sure hope so since I've already taken version 4. But if you have questions I'd call and ask, just to be sure.
Hey guys! I'm glad I found this thread so now I don't feel so along going through all this waiting. Thanks to those who updated with when they got into the program, it really helped me in trying to figure out when I will get in. I applied to Solano in November 2009 and was number 384. Then in October 2010 I got my new number- 172. I was reading the other messages and they said Solano accepts once a year. Is that for Spring and Fall or does everyone just start in Fall? Thanks!
Hi JH289, welcome to this thread. It has been very helpful to get more of an inside picture into what is really going on. I am #186 on the waitlist so we are very close. When I first applied they were still taking new classes in the spring and the fall, but according to a recent post on this thread they are only taking classes in the fall. Hopefully that will change, I know of another college in sacramento who went to only one class a year because of budget. Are you applying anywhere else? Good luck to you!
