So very disappointed...

Nursing Students Pre-Nursing

I feel like crying right now.

I just found out I won't be able to pay for my classes this semester, my first semester of pre-recs.

I just want to cry. I was so looking forward to starting school this August. I am so mad.

I don't qualify for federal aid and have been out of school so long that scholarships aren't really an option either.

Hey I was just wondering how your meeting went with the financial aid advisor?? Is everything going to work out?

I was going to add that there had to be loan programs out there as my eldest has to have horrible credit based on what I know of her NOT paying lenders and she's getting loan money to go to school and then some.

Best wishes and never give up!!

Do you have a prior degree like a bachelors? Is that why they are not giving you federal loans? Or did you max out on federal loans? Hope you have everything figured out.

OP here. Great news!!!!!

The College gave me a deferred payment plan which is TOTALLy Do-able.

So it's back to school for me. Thanks for all the advice and I will remember Stafford loans for next time.

All's well that ends well, I guess. I guess it's meant to be. YIPPEEE!!!!:)

Congrats!! :balloons:

THATS GREAT NEWS! GOOD LUCK WITH YOUR CLASSES!:yelclap:

I applied for aid through FAFSAand I had to take out a student loan for the rest. I got the Stafford student loan and I do not have to pay it back until 6 months after i graduate. you can get a loan just talk to your schools financial aid department tell them your situation and i am sure they will help. My schools financial aid department was very help and i have my own financial aid counselor through my school-the University of Phoenix. You should get a stafford student loan easy because my credit is really not that great, i think that they probably don't really check your credit that well. or just pay for what you can afford right now and get started, hang in there I am sure that you will be able to some kind of aid

great news! I'm so glad it worked out.
