We don't, but I feel like it should head that way. Smart watches shouldn't be used, either, in my opinion. We do have a kid with seizures, and he has software hooked up with his phone to a smart watch, that can detect possible seizure activity. Of course, that is not a problem with me. In the absence of a medical need, though, I don't feel like the kids here need them.
Our kids all have iPads so they have constant internet and texting access. It is annoying but you kind of realize it is a losing battle and just go with it. Many parents won't answer if the school calls but will respond if little Snowflake texts them so there's that...
I have used that to my advantage admittedly. I can't reach mom but student texts or calls them and they suddenly available. And I have them pass me the phone to do the talking/texting.

We have a pretty straight forward no cell phone policy in our school. One student who has gotten in trouble before for texting his mother that he was sick before seeing me has now gotten a smart watch which chimes when his phone gets a text message.
He came in today and it chimed and a second later his mother called my phone because she heard her little one was sick. I reminded him that he couldn't use his phone here and he proudly said "you can check me I don't have it". His watch then made the noise and I saw a message pop up on it.
I checked and our policy is specific about cellular devices.
Do your schools have polices on all outside communication devices?
