SJSU Spring 2017 (Questions/Comments/Concerns)

I looked around to see if anyone had started a thread but nothing

Oops I meant a 3.52 gpa lol

Does anyone know what the application process at SFSU is like?

For all CSU application you have to apply to the school first through CSU Mentor and then later on when NursingCAS opens applied through there too!

Anyone know of anyone getting accepted to the other CSUs with Chem 30A. I looked at both Chico and Stanislaus and they both say they dont accept Intro Chem courses, but I've found conflicting info and now I don't know what to do.

I have no clue they didn't accept Chem 30A... why don't you call them to confirm??

I would but I don't think they're opened and I just found out yesterday because on a form that lists pre reqs says they dont accept intro science courses and Chem 30A is basically into to chem

This is exactly what it says: "All science prerequisites must be at least 4 semester units with a lab. They cannot be introductorycourses; they must be for majors or for allied health."

But I will call to make sure although it seems pretty clear :( no back up for me

The best way to understand the articulation agreement between your school and another CSU is to go to

www2.assist.org

I checked there too, but there's no articulation for that particular class or on sjsu's articulation page agreements with other schools

I'm actually having the same problem right now. I talked to someone from Chico a couple days ago and they said to email with a screenshot of the course description of Chem 30A. I'm waiting for a reply but will post when I get the info!

Thank you so much! I hope they consider it cause its our pre req for micro and if it was good enough to get us through micro I don't see why there would be a problem + other schools like San Marcos accept both Chico's Chem and SJSUs Chem 30A. But then again they do state specifically that they don't want Intro courses so we'll see.

Hi guys! so I emailed SFSU about their application process that I was having a problem with and they replied! Here's the respond:

If you're applying for the Nursing BSN program, you need to select Nursing (NON-RN) [bS-IMPACTED]” and you need to select a non-impacted major as an alternate. Once you select a non-impacted major, you can submit your CSU Mentor application.

Best regards,

Alison

I will also try to emailed the rest of the schools about the transferrable prereq credits whenever I can!

Thank you very much for letting us know!
