SJSU Spring 2017 (Questions/Comments/Concerns)

I looked around to see if anyone had started a thread but nothing

What do you mean "has the majority"?

I also attended the pre-nursing workshop, but in my workshop, there were at least 20 students. In the workshop, they discuss that how pre-nursing student can switch to psychology, nutrition and kinesiology if they don't get into nursing program. These workshops is only for SJSU pre-nursing students and not for second degree students who are from outside and has the majority in the spring pool.

by majority, I meant the greater number of people.

I ASSUME that SJSU pre-nursing students who are in the spring pool are around 65-80 in number like last year. Therefore the rest 120 people, should be the second degree transfer student who applied from outside for spring.

wait... I thought transfer can't apply this spring...

Transfers are allowed only for students who already have a bachelors degree and want to apply to the nursing program

Will we get our letters of acceptance or declination through mail or email? or both?

I think its both but email for acceptance comes first.

do you guys really think its over 200 people? I'd imagine we would have had a lot more people on this thread if that many people are trying to apply. I've checked previous threads from previous semesters and we have about the same number of people active on this thread compared to the others. it doesnt seem like we are out of the ordinary... at least thats what I hope

My UPN adviser told me there were just 120 applicants who applied for fall 2016.

200 applicants for the spring just sounds crazy. I also looked at previous threads and it's about the same. I also figured that anyone with a 6.3 and up impaction score will make it in... maybe even 5.9 depending on the number of applicants. Good luck again to everyone. We have all worked so hard :)

Good news guys. I emailed the nursing department and they said 200 applied, but only 90 of them had complete applications which they are reviewing now!

For those of you who took the TEAS at SJSU, did you guys send in your scores through ATI for the application? They should have it on file already right...?

I didn't bother sending my official TEAS transcript to SJSU because I thought we just had to upload a screenshot of our scores like NursingCas said. Now I'm kind of worried. Can someone confirm if we had to send an official TEAS transcript to SJSU or is it just a screenshot?

From what I can remember from the two times I took the test they said that the school that we took the test at would automatically get the scores. So we did not have to resend them, unless you were applying to a school other than the one you took the test at. I believe it also states this if you go on your ATI account. If it makes you guys feel better, I also didn't send my scores hehe

Thank you guys for keeping the rest of us updated. 90 apps is still a bit high, but it makes me feel a lot better about my chances.
