SJSU Fall 2014

Hi there! I started this topic since I couldn't find any threads for SJSU fall 2014 applicants. Care to share your GPA, TEAS scores, and impaction scores to get a better idea of the competition this season?

My stats are:

GPA (for 5 prerequisites): 3.95

TEAS: 90.7%

Impaction: 7.89

I never got any confirmation of my application either. I didn't know that we were supposed to be notified of receipt. I also sent the application in late January, around Jan 28. Oh my god, now I'm scared they didn't get it.

I turned mine in person. They gave me an orange paper with a signature stating that they received it. But I handed it to them in their office. You should try calling to see.

My friends and I turned it in together and we all got the orange paper. I remember we asked for some sort of confirmation and that's why they gave us that.

Ah, I didn't ask for one. I'm gonna call them tomorrow and ask them if having a confirmation is important.

It's not important in the sense that it won't affect your application or anything. It's just a reassurance paper for the applicant to know that they did receive the application.

So much typo on that last reply. My bad.

The orange paper is just to calm the applicant and it's a proof that the office got your application. You don't NEED NEED to have it. Not everyone was aware if its existence.

You may call up the office and see if you can get it.

I'm sure both of our applications got there! I bet they are just behind on sending us notification. It seems pretty unlikely that both of our applications didn't make it! I sent mine with plenty of time to get there too. I'm calling tomorrow just to check in, I'll post what they tell me.

I just emailed them after I mailed it and got a reply email that they got it. They said if I was missing any documents they would let me know when they review the application. They don't send out confirmation emails unless you email them first, don't worry :)

@ amd615 what's your impaction score?

I read the little note on the application incorrectly! It was 5 days for them to receive the application, not 5 days for them to send notification. I freaked a few of you out... sorry about that :)

@fancyeyes I'll definitely email them too, just for my own peace of mind! Also, I'm not sure what my impaction score is... I can't seem to find the page that explains how to do it. You divide your TEAS score by a certain number and then add your gpa, right? I don't know my impaction score but my stats are:

GPA: 3.9

TEAS: 94.0

It's the GPA in the prereqs (not overall GPA) + TEAS/23

Ah thanks! Just the prereq GPA? Then my impaction score would be 8.09

Also, does anyone know when we should be hearing about acceptance?
