SJSU Fall 2014

U.S.A. California

Published

Hi there! I started this topic since I couldn't find any threads for SJSU fall 2014 applicants. Care to share your GPA, TEAS scores, and impaction scores to get a better idea of the competition this season?

My stats are:

GPA (for 5 prerequisites): 3.95

TEAS: 90.7%

Impaction: 7.89

I think if people know for sure they are going to attend another school/

Have any acceptance from

Their preferred school they might not want to pay the $100 ( plus $55

For background check plus $70 for the mandatory transfer orientation fee!) but if you are someone like me who is still waiting for acceptances

Or on waitlist somewhere else it's totally worth it. I know I'll be out $225 if I end up getting into my preferred choices but no way I would jeopardize my position at SJSU

maybe East Bay acceptances will come out on monday ;)

Fancyeyes- you submitted your intent to enroll and paid the $70 mandatory transfer orientation fee by May 1st?

I think that is pretty important.

I really think that you are number 5 on the wait list to have an extremely high chance at getting in :)

Oh wait your number 4! Even better! :)

maybe East Bay acceptances will come out on monday ;)

Omgoodness I hope so!! And if I end up getting in, you will def be pushed up to number 3 on waitlist ;)

no, i'm a post-bacc, SJSU is so weird, they haven't even accepted/declined post-bacc students yet, I called them and everything. I accepted East Bay tho, I don't think there was a fee for that.

Oh that is weird! Yeah i was annoyed about the fee for SJSU, I think that's pretty lame. Yeah I accepted mine at CSUEB didn't have to pay a fee or anything either. So crossing my fingers I get in there or Atleast low on wait list. You said your not sure which one you would accept if you had the choice between the two?

yeah im not sure, do you know what hospitals SJSU vs. East Bay has the students do the rotations at?

Im not positive but I found this on a thread from last year for CSUEB:

Quite a few. I was at Concord campus and went to a SNF, John Muir Concord, John Muir Walnut Creek, Children's Oakland, Herrick in Berkeley, Alta Bates in Berkeley, San Ramon Regional, John Muir Home Health, and there are like 20 options for preceptorship sites...

Not sure about SJSU except I think kaiser

I GOT IN YAYYYYYYYYYYYYYY!!!!!!!!!!! i WILL BE ATTENDING IN THE FALL!!!

I already have most of my immunizations done from when I went to another school they wanted all my titers so that should be no problem. Now I just need the background check and drug test. Is anyone moving closer to SJ? hit me up about sharing an apartment...not sure how bad commuting from Mountain View area would be :/

Congrats!!

joined the group, I had the link from when it was posted earlier :D

In the past, one could do more than one clinical rotation at Santa Clara Valley Medical Center. Probably still used a lot by the program.
