Hi there! I started this topic since I couldn't find any threads for SJSU fall 2014 applicants. Care to share your GPA, TEAS scores, and impaction scores to get a better idea of the competition this season?
My stats are:
GPA (for 5 prerequisites): 3.95
TEAS: 90.7%
Impaction: 7.89
My friend was waitlisted and then got accepted into the program, she was called the week before school started! Very nerve-wrecking for her! I'm sure there will be some people choosing other schools, failing drug/background screening, or last minute events where nursing is just not the right time for them. Stay positive, it's the best for your mental well-being! :)
Btw, has anyone received their background check results in the mail? I haven't & I did mine on Monday
Hi everyone-
Yes I agree that people wait listed should not give up hope!
I got into San Jose but live in Oakland and my fingers crossed for CSUEB!!! I'm also wait listed at SF state. So I will definitely be giving up my position at San Jose if I am to get in at either of those places ( preferably CSUEB!!) I will keep you all updated. :)
We have until May 6th to submit the $100 and acceptance to admission offer. We had to do background check within 7 days of receiving our acceptance letter. We can't do drug test until mid August.
I doubt they they will give away spots if people miss it by a few days but any longer, it's possible.

hmm i wonder if people on the fence will not want to waste $100 if they're set on other schools
I think if people know for sure they are going to attend another school/
Have any acceptance from
Their preferred school they might not want to pay the $100 ( plus $55
For background check plus $70 for the mandatory transfer orientation fee!) but if you are someone like me who is still waiting for acceptances
Or on waitlist somewhere else it's totally worth it. I know I'll be out $225 if I end up getting into my preferred choices but no way I would jeopardize my position at SJSU

Yeah, there is a good chance! I'm number 5 and was told by the nursing department that we still have hope; more people decline in the fall start than in spring. Fingers crossed that we get into our top choice schools!
