SJSU fall 2009 semester

Published

Hello all,

I just applied to SJSU's program. I don't think I'll get in. My 30 last units gpa is 3.39, my pre req gpa is 3.23, and I scored 90.6 on the Teas, which means my impaction score is 10.24.

Though one part of me says that I may have a chance because students who already have bachelor degrees aren't alllowed to apply anymore (this is the first semester the rule is in effect), and there were several of them in the previous classes....I think someone told me there are about 15 every semester?

Your thoughts?

I got into SJSU's nursing program!!

thanks so much. i'm soooo relieved.

Congratulations!!! I am a graduate from that program and feel it provided a strong theoretical foundation for my nursing career.

That's awesome! Better start getting a file manager for all the documents you'll have to keep track of (keep original copies of everything!)

Hi fembot,

congrats! Im almost ready to apply, I was just curious what grades you got for your preq's like for bio 65, 66 and micro?

micro: b+

bio 65: b

bio 66: b

I got into SJSU's nursing program!!

Congrats on making it in. I assume you'll start in the fall?

Hello

I am to thinking about applying to SJSU and I just got off the phone with someone from admissions. I heard they are only taking 60 students and mainly care about GPA and Teas. Can anyone give me feedback about the program and how they did in physio anatomy etc. Thanks

Hello,

I recently turned in my application for spring 2010, they said they would call me if my application was missing anything. I dont think they "toss" them and Im very nervous because the advisors make it seem like its impossible to get in. But I think you will be fine, I heard the lowest score they let in is like 9.90, but obviouslt it changes depending on the students who apply. I am not quite sure how to calculate me impaction score, they use GPA of last 30 units or total college units? and then I know the five major classes and TEAS. Anyone know about this?

Alicia

Hey I got A's in my sciences, but you can make up for lower grades by doing better on your TEAs.
