SJSU FALL 2021 BSN

Hey Guy! I am creating this for those applying to SJSU Fall 2021 nursing program. I wanted to see what the applicant pool looks like! Here's my stats so far:

Big 5 GPA: 4.0

TEAS: 80%

Impaction score: 6.66

I don't feel so confident due to how competitive it's been :/

Nvm! I got the answer from Sue already. You get the bump when you are transferring to the university.

Sorry, I don't mean to sound confused. Just unaware. Can you link the slides or whatever that talks about the bump, or explain it a little more. I hadnt heard anything about this

No it’s okay! It’s only for locals. The bump doesn’t apply to the nursing program unfortunately ??

I've seen others posting about conditional admits, I wonder if that was for local students. Mine is still pending decision

Yea but it doesn’t matter if I get into the university if I can’t get into the nursing program nor my alternative major?my application will be withdrawn if I don’t get into either.

Tbh I was thinking that. If the .25 was necessary to get into SJSU the nursing program would be a long shot. Whats your alternative? Im sure most other programs have a significantly Higher amount of seats. 
 

I decided id accept for the fall if not nursing, into the alternative, and reapply for nursing in the Spring when its a little less impacted

I chose public health but I read on the major impaction list that they’re not taking alternatives. The counselor said everything is still undetermined, but I’m not confident. I can’t even apply for Spring then.

Wait so, you cant accept to SJSU as undeclared and re apply in the Spring?

I guess the decision is in the universe’s hands. Weve done all we can do for now hahah. I hope you get in!!

I don’t know... I will meet up with a counselor again when the decisions are out. What did you choose for your alternative?

Tbh, I forgot. I think Chemistry, but I wasnt really paying attention and just clicked it to get past the page ???

Hi Everyone!

My big 8 GPA is 4.0

TEAS is 86%

Impactation score is 6.86

I'm super super super nervous, I knew I should have studied way harder for the TEAS but I had alot going on in my life at the time ?
