Nursing Students NCLEX

Hi there, I am sure this question is floating around somewhere, but I could´t find anything related. I was just wondering if anybody can tell me HOW exactly a day at the test center looks like? I know you have to lock up all your stuff and they take your fingerprints?

But I was also reading about a white board...does everybody have its own white board for brain dumping? I thought that´s actually not allowed...or when is it allowed?

I am sorry for asking maybe silly questions, I am a foreign nurse and I just try to relieve my anxiety in any way :-)

I love this website, it gives so much information! Thank you to all of you :-)

We can have the phone but just can't access it right? My ride is going to be out n about while I test so I need to get ahold if them when I'm done.

Specializes in Complex pedi to LTC/SA & now a manager.

Phone can be locked up at most sites. I had a critically ill family member and the girl at the desk actually was willing to hold my phone to let me know if the hospital's number showed up. (She asked why I looked so distress). I didn't take her up on the offer as it wouldn't do much good as I was 2 1/2 hrs away and family was with her, nothing I could do would change things.

Can't access phones even on break and must be on silent or off in locker...
