Hi there, I am sure this question is floating around somewhere, but I could´t find anything related. I was just wondering if anybody can tell me HOW exactly a day at the test center looks like? I know you have to lock up all your stuff and they take your fingerprints?
But I was also reading about a white board...does everybody have its own white board for brain dumping? I thought that´s actually not allowed...or when is it allowed?
I am sorry for asking maybe silly questions, I am a foreign nurse and I just try to relieve my anxiety in any way :-)
I love this website, it gives so much information! Thank you to all of you :-)

everyone gets their own white board when they sign in. You can not brain dump on the white board but you can make notes but not until after the tutorial. DO NOT take any study material with you into the center it is not allowed and could cause issues and you are classed as a fail.
NCSBN website will tell you a lot about what to expect

When you enter the test room, they give you a white board & a pen. However, you cannot write anything on the board while you are viewing the tutorial. That is considered "brain-dumping" and it's a no-no. They have video cameras looking at you the whole time so keep that in mind lol.
Thank you guys - I will check the website. I haven´t even thought about that
And the white board is for taking notes...okay...for what? So like when question 1 started, I am not allowed to write anything on the white board? Let´s say if I remember some lab values or something?
Good luck to you all, thanks again!
thank you!

Writing down stuff after the test begins is okay. The white board comes in handy when you have a dosage calculation question.
yeah that´s true - I like to write down the calculations!

Second to leaving your cell phone in the car!! You don't want to be looking at that during your break and be accused of cheating. I brought with me my ID, my ATT form, car keys, bottle of water and a snack (granola bar and fruit). That's it. Do not bring study materials to the testing center. I had some notecards in my car that I looked over prior to going in, but those stayed in my car.
You go into the testing center and you show them your ID and ATT form and they sign you in. You throw your belonging in a locker and get a key. Before entering the testing area they will ask you to show your pockets to make sure you're trying to sneak in any materials. They give you a white board and a marker that cannot be used until after the mandatory tutorial.
