wondering how the program is going for anyone that is in it, thanks, applied tonight and just want to make sure I pick the right school.

Be patient. I didn't hear until the week before the first cohort started. They are getting slammed with applications. The campus was closed during thanksgiving week, so that's minus a week. I waited over 6 weeks. Trust me, I know it's hard.

Ohhhh good to know! The waiting is so hard. Especially when I keep hearing of others getting in. How is the program going for you so far?

Here is to hoping you hear something soon! =)

Accepted!!!! just so all of you know if you are enrolled full time and need to borrow money the last two terms you will have to apply for grad plus loans because the cost is above what you can borrow in Stafford loans. now to make my final decision, Simmons or kaplan

you can only borrow up to 20,500 per year in Stafford loans. the cost is more than that in the full time program. I spoke with the financial aid dept and they explained to me that you do have to borrow st last $6000 in either grad plus loans or private loans to cover the entire cost.

Congrats!!! Did you just find out today?? I am still waiting to hear. Thanks for the info on financial aid as well!!

ACCEPTED!!! Just received the phone call and email. I start January 20th. I applied on Nov 18th and just now received my acceptance. The cost does scare me a little but i'll be doing student loans and probably some out of pocket. I'm actually excited to drop Chamberlain's FNP program, i am so tired of doing the silly busy work and discussion boards. Another huge benefit is that i won't have to hunt down my own preceptors, Simmons will assist in clinical sites which is so nice. Also daniellebrown03, i have a friend at Kaplan right now and she is very frustrated with them, she had a really hard time finding preceptors and you have to turn in the preceptor's resume in order for them to approve them, they have also pushed back her graduation date from June 2014, to August and she is afraid they may try to push it back again. My friend actually looked into switching to Chamberlain and they wouldn't transfer all of her classes and i talked her out of it. Congrats daniellebrown03!!!
