Another request for feedback from someone currently in the Simmons program or an alum. Have a deposit out at another program, which I love, but just got my acceptance letter and I also really like Simmons' program. It and the program to which I've already sent a deposit were neck and neck as my first choices.
Difference in cost for me would be fairly negligible, or I'd use that as a criterion. From what I can see, I would physically have to be somewhere slightly less at Simmons, which is significant, since I do have kids. I don't think there is a major difference in intensity of the programs. Simmons is in Boston, but the other program is not; I was hoping for a public transportation option and Simmons is the only one I could take commuter rail to. Which, honestly, is kind of big for me, particularly in the icy winter. I just don't know.

In the e-mail I got from Simmons it says they are sending out all their decisions at one time.......
"As a Direct Entry applicant, please be advised that all admission decisions will be mailed after the application deadline at a date to be determined later. All decisions for all complete, on-time applicants will be mailed as a group. "
I'm not sure how some have heard and other's have not......maybe they decided not to send out the decisions all at once?

I emailed Simmons, and I was told that my letter was mailed on 3/22. They didn't include anything else in the email, so maybe I'll find out today. Other posters mentioned already receiving their letters - at least one accepted person received it this past weekend.
Just have to wait and see if the different mailing dates meant anything, I guess!
Well I just e-mailed and this is what I was told
"This year, per the Director of Admissions, because of the volume of applications, decision letters will be sent out in three waives. The first waive happened this past Friday, the next waive will happen this Friday and the last waive will happen on March 31, 2010. Your application is still being reviewed by the committee, a decision has not been made yet. The decisions should be made shortly and you should receive a letter by March 31st."
Good to know. Thanks Cam2oo6! I guess they are sending them seperately.

Thank you for filling us in, I was actually going to email or call them today to see what the status was. I received an email from them last week
saying that my application was complete and was ready for review, which I was somewhat surprised by-seemed sort of late to me.
Good Luck everyone :)
Has anyone else heard from Simmons?
