I applied as well. Haven't heard anything yet. I did fill out all kind of student info forms for Financial aid and stuff.

I am patiently waiting to hear from Simmons..... Does anyone know when they are supposed to send out decisions? I am really hoping I get into Simmons.... I hope they don't miss out on good applicants by waiting too long.... seems like the other schools have gotten the ball rolling with sending out decision letters or at least should be soon

I called yesterday and they said my app was with the second pool of applicants (whatever that means) and that I should hear something by April. I really like this school just wish it wasn't so expensive!

I had my app. in by 2/1. I missed the priority review deadline so that's probably why I'm in the second pool of applicants. They've asked for all my tax info and I had to send in the verification worksheet and other forms. I haven't had to do that with any of the schools. The only time I've ever sent in that info was if I was accepted, but I guess Simmon's is different from the rest.

priority review date?? I didnt know there was one and I went to two info sessions.. i had my app in on 1/12. crap.

They didnt ask me for tax info.. are you talking for financial aid? I know that application was due Monday.

There was a priority review date for the dix programs...where you get an Accelerated BSN .... I don't believe there was a priority date for the DE program.....

Hi all,

I've applied to both Simmons and MGH direct entry MSN - we are away, so I don't know if I've received my Simmons letter or not - I know some people heard via mail this weekend.

Would love to hear others' takes on the pros and cons of Simmons vs. MGH programs. I've heard from some nurses that they thought Simmons grads had stronger fundamental skills upon graduation, and I really like the internship part of the program. But I've heard very good things about MGH, as well, especially regarding their clinical opportunities at top-notch Boston hospitals. I have two children, so there is definitely some appeal to "free" summers.

Anyone else trying to make this choice? Would especially love feedback from recent grads of the programs, or professionals that have experience with grads from both programs. If Simmons if your first choice, what do you find most attractive?
