Hey everyone! I didn’t see a thread for this year but I wanted to start one for this fall! I applied to Sierra College yesterday, has anyone else applied yet?
I have a question for anyone that has work experience- when you turned in your app what did you include? I know it said 200 hours or more working or volunteering within the last 2 years. But on the required documentation side it said license or certification copy required for listed work experience. Only for volunteer did it say written proof of volunteer hours signed by institution.
just curious if I put the correct stuff. I made a copy of my license and my BLS card on the same paper and stapled my most recent pay stub as that’s all I had access too. (For proof of hours) although it didn’t say to submit proof of hours only license. Hope that was enough or even not too much!

Hey! I’m sure that should be sufficient. I had my boss write a letter on a letterhead and say that I have worked more than 200 hours and my job description. My job wasn’t on the list but they said it wasn’t an exhaustive list so that’s why I included my job description. The lady went over my app at Sierra and said it was good so I’m assuming you are in the clear!
Hey y’all!
I applied this week as well. This is my first round of applying. I’m so excited but trying not to put too much into getting in on a lottery. ?
I do remember hearing at an info session that they typically receive about 250 applications and about 190 of them actually qualify for the lottery. It looks like they’ll admit any leftover alternates from the year prior as part of the 40 spots available. I see it as an 18-20% chance. ??
I applied to ARC and SF City as well and will apply to Delta when it opens. Sadly, I haven’t finished Cultural Anthropology to apply for Sac City.
Best of luck to us all! ?

I applied pretty much all over within a two hour radius LOL. This is my first round applying to lottery based programs so I'm going all in. I applied to sierra, arc, scc, butte, modesto, los medanos, chabot, merritt college, santa rosa, sac state, chico state, csu east bay, and stanislaus. I also applied to College of the Redwoods which is 5 hours away LOL. I plan on applying to Delta and Merced when they open up. I was unable to apply to Yuba because I haven't taken pathophysiology yet.
