Hey guys! I didn't see a thread for applicants for Sam Houston State University BSN Fall 2019, so I decided to make one. I am in the process of making my NursingCAS application.
My Stats:
Teas Overall: 86%
Overall GPA: 3.5
Pre-Nursing GPA (according to GPA calculator on shsu website) : 3.5
I do have credits from SHSU, and I also took MATH 1370. I am not a licensed CNA, although I did take the course.

Thank you! Don't lose hope.. maybe you've heard it a lot but it's true. I really really hope it works out for you!! Remember not everyone makes it in the first time. This was my second time applying to UTMB & I applied to UT Health 3 times to only get waitlisted then denied so don't get discouraged. If you really want it just keep trying! ?

I really want it so giving up is not an option. I might just reapply to utmb for summer 2020 now that I have better grades and everything complete. I just think of the drive because it might not be convenient being that I have my husband and kids in Houston area.

If it's able to work out for you then you should definitely do it. I have to drive as well since I like in the Pasadena area but I can imagine that it's much more difficult to have to drive that far when you have children that need you.

I will think about it and work something out with my husband. Good luck with your nursing career.

A couple other of us are accepted to cohort 18 as well ? I’m not sure how the cohorts work and if we are all 18 or just some of us but if you would like to get in touch you can friend me on Facebook and message me to get my number and as long as the others are ok with it we could start a Facebook messenger group too if you want
