Hey guys! I didn't see a thread for applicants for Sam Houston State University BSN Fall 2019, so I decided to make one. I am in the process of making my NursingCAS application.
My Stats:
Teas Overall: 86%
Math: 93.8%
Reading: 85.1%
Overall GPA: 3.5
Pre-Nursing GPA (according to GPA calculator on shsu website) : 3.5
I do have credits from SHSU, and I also took MATH 1370. I am not a licensed CNA, although I did take the course.
I was curious about the stats of people who have already gotten accepted to the program. Currently, I am an alternate applicant and am wondering if I have a shot of getting off the list.
Here are my stats:
Overall GPA: 4.0
Nursing GPA: 4.0
TEAS Math: 96
TEAS Reading: 89
Overall Score: 89
I saw that one person on this thread has been pulled out of the alternate applicant pool so far and was wondering if anyone else has? ?
Hey hun! From your stats, you shouldn’t be on the alternate list at all. I would call if I were you to be sure if there’s anything holding back. I was pulled out out of the alternate list and my stats are not even close to yours(way lower). I have a bachelors degree though and I’m also a CNA with over one year experience so I’m guessing all that helped me. I hope that helps and I’m praying you get some good news.
